Chili Octopus Sister - Korean restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

The spicy octopus was seriously tasty! The place is quite small with limited seating, so it’s best to book a table in advance.

There is a Korean restaurant near my home. The main dishes use a type of baby octopus called jukkumi. (I am not Korean, so I don't know the specific dish names.) I've used this place for lunch and dinner. The prices are reasonable, and we ordered two servings of the recommended jukkumi sister set. I asked for the spiciness to be mild, but it was very spicy, and at first, I couldn't stop sweating. I like spicy food, so I enjoyed it. The restaurant isn't very large, so I recommend making a reservation.

The staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome right away. The food arrived promptly, and each dish was a delightful surprise. The standout, of course, was the signature spicy octopus. Cooked to perfection, the octopus was tender and flavorful, with a spicy kick that reminded me of the bold flavors found in Jeju’s local cuisine. The accompanying side dishes were fresh and complemented the main course beautifully. What impressed us most was the balance of flavors and the quality of ingredients. Everything tasted fresh, and the spice level was just right—not overpowering but enough to tantalize the taste buds. Only let down was the garlic . Not authentically Korean . Korean garlic is the best . In summary, Chilli Octopus Sister offers a unique and authentic dining experience that stands out in the city. If you’re in the mood for something different and delicious, this place is a must-visit.

My parents and I often eat here, whether it’s dine-in or take out or delivery. The spicy octopus is a bit too spicy, but the kimbaps are all delicious! 👍⭐️ The steamed egg is also great 👍 The servers are also all very polite and friendly, and they speak enough Korean to communicate with Korean customers ☺️
