I used to live in Seoul and eat dakgalbi a lot so I was excited to try this place. Unfortunately the quality of ingredients is low, which is obvious already from the banchan which has store bought kimchi and pickles. The dakgalbi didn't have the right ratio of ingredients, too much sauce and chicken, hardly any cabbage. The only way to make it palatable was to cover it in cheese (also low quality). The clientele here was almost exclusively young Vietnamese, no Koreans. Ended up feeling sick immediately after eating it and the following day as well. Avoid.

You know a Korean restaurant is legit when you walk in and most of the tables are filled with Koreans — that’s the ultimate stamp of authenticity. At Sinsa Dak, that’s exactly what you’ll see. I even joked that the staff here should learn some Korean, because clearly, they’ve already won over the Korean community! Now onto the food — they specialize in one thing, and they nail it: spicy stir-fried chicken with cheese. The menu is refreshingly short, which honestly feels like a blessing. No need to scroll through pages of options. You’re here for that dish, and they make sure it’s perfect every time. The chicken was incredibly flavorful — well-marinated, juicy, and coated in a rich, spicy gochujang-based sauce that hits all the right notes: sweet, spicy, and savory. They stir-fry it right in front of you on a portable stove, and as it simmers, they pile on a generous amount of melty cheese that stretches and wraps around each piece of chicken like a warm blanket. It’s not just delicious — it’s fun to eat. And then they add noodles. Ugh, so good. The chewy noodles soak up all that spicy sauce and cheese, and it becomes this glorious mess of comfort food. I kept telling myself to slow down, but nope — couldn’t stop. The banchan (Korean side dishes) were simple, nothing over the top — a few classics like kimchi, pickled radish, etc. — but the steamed egg deserves a shoutout. Soft, fluffy, and served warm in a stone bowl, it was a cozy complement to the fiery main dish. Service was solid. The staff were attentive, helpful with the cooking process, and made sure everything was cooked just right. Watching them stir-fry at the table added a bit of flair and fun to the meal — kind of like dinner and a show. Would I go back? 100% yes. And probably bring more friends next time, just to see their reactions when that cheese starts melting.

We had dinner here and it was super satisfying. We ordered a Half & Half with chicken and octopus. It came in a huge pan with noodles and steamed egg on the side. Their fish cake soup was also really tasty. We were so full by the end. The place is a bit small, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you're coming during busy hours. Would come back for sure.

Yes please. Chicken and cheese is absolutely delicious. The bean sauce is nice but a little bit salty at the end. Overall, highly recommended!
