It's a strange place; I was eating at the dining table when water was being sprinkled from above.

BLOQ - Lifestyle Retail Park - Food court in Ho Chi Minh City
About This Place
BLOQ occupies a three-level compound on Trần Ngọc Diện built around exposed steel and repurposed shipping containers. The format resists easy categorization — food stalls share floor space with thrift sellers, a nail salon, tattoo artists, and photo booths, making it a place people tend to linger rather than eat and leave.
The food lineup skews international. Lebanese dishes stand out for their distinct, aromatic flavor profile; regulars note the sauces pair best with bread to balance the seasoning. A Korean-style grill consistently pulls queues by early evening, the most visible proof of demand in a space with no shortage of alternatives. Western plates, cafes, and a full bar selection fill in the rest across the three floors.
After dark, the atmosphere shifts noticeably. Live bands set up in the communal area, bars crowd up, and the lower level takes on a festival-market energy. BLOQ runs themed weekend events — Bloqtoberfest being a recurring draw — which skew the crowd toward groups of friends rather than couples seeking quiet. Open 24 hours every day, the venue cycles through daytime shoppers browsing thrift rails, evening diners working through the Korean queue, and late-night bar crowds in a single uninterrupted stretch.
The space can get congested on weekend evenings and the Korean stall wait times reflect that, but this seems to be part of the draw rather than a deterrent. Toilets are functional and maintained, though not wheelchair accessible. For Thao Dien regulars accustomed to more polished single-venue café formats, BLOQ sits in its own category: part market, part food hall, part outdoor bar strip, all within one compound.
Reviews
I visited BLOQ in Thảo Điền during my trip to Vietnam and tried the Lebanese food there. The flavors were quite unique and tasty. I do think it would be even better if each table had its own dipping sauce for personal references. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the price was very affordable for the quality. The space can get a bit crowded in the evening, so putting more table would improve the experience. A great spot for a casual meal with good vibes.
Cool venue with bars and cafes. Industrial fun decor, loads of steel and shipping containers. Good toilets, but they are not wheelchair accessible. Very cool.
Bloq is a food park wherein many food stalls are in here. We just had a quick bite here for dinner. There are thrift shops in the middle and other concessioners. There are shops here which offer photos, nail salon, tattoo. There is a live band too. Many people are lining up on one of the Korean style food restaurants.
Had a great experience here. They host markets/little events pretty much every weekend. I went for their Bloqtoberfest with a group of friends. Three levels with various different restaurants and stores. We sat downstairs but ordered from the Korean place - it was yummy.
