The food quality and service at Chai Village were actually quite good. The staff were friendly, and the dishes we ordered were enjoyable. However, I would strongly advise against spending money on the claw machine. At first, it seemed relatively easy to win, and we managed to catch a few plush toys. But after winning 3 toys in around 10 tries, the machine suddenly became much harder. The plush toys appeared to be packed so tightly together that it was almost impossible for the claw to get underneath or grip anything properly. We continued trying for another 15 attempts but couldn't catch a single toy. It ended up feeling like a waste of both money and time. While we enjoyed the food, this part of the experience left us quite disappointed. Hopefully, the claw machine can be adjusted to make it feel fairer for customers.

During our short holiday to hcmc, my family and I looked for a reputable seafood restaurant to go to and we landed on Chai Village after seeing loads of positive reviews about the place. However, everything was disappointing. Every seafood dish was overcooked and served luke warm even though they claim to make it after you place an order. Octopus tasted like rubber bands. Crab had no flesh. Lobsters and giant prawns were small and overcooked. Sea urchin was alright. The self-service buffet section was atrocious too. The only thing worth consuming there was the kimchi. They served sushi and some fried items which were there from the time we arrived to the time we left. Nothing was added and it was just sitting there exposed. Food poisoning waiting to happen. The service staff were attentive and proactive but hardly spoke English. When the staff asked me how the food was at the end and I said it was overcooked. She didn’t know how to react and just asked us to leave a Google review - probably following mgt’s instructions. Furthermore, there’s a live band that’s playing and doing a horrible job at covering popular songs. They absolutely butchered every song and ruined the atmosphere. I was shouting just to talk to my family members seated opposite me. Would never come back again.

Had a wonderful dining experience at this seafood buffet. The selection was impressive, with a wide variety of fresh seafood, including lobster, prawns, crabs, and oysters. The food was constantly replenished and tasted fresh throughout the evening. The atmosphere was comfortable and lively, making it a great place for family gatherings and special occasions. Staff were attentive, friendly, and quick to clear plates despite the busy crowd. The lobster was definitely one of the highlights of the meal, and the overall quality of the food exceeded my expectations. Great value for a seafood lover. Would definitely visit again and recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying seafood buffet experience.

I went here because of all the good reviews. Don't have too much expectations! Food tastes average. The mud crabs are too small. The shrimps are okay. The lobsters are best among all. When they asked me where I'm from, they put me in a private room with other strangers who they think I belong to. I felt uncomfortable in the room. They should have asked me if the seating was okay to me. I would rather be seated at the main dining place. They only served me what I ordered from the menu from the room. The waiters were attentive and helpful. With 2 beers the bill was charged over one million dong, which I felt over priced. Once is enough. Not going again.
