This was our second time visiting Curry House Coco Ichibanya at Landmark 81, and I have to say, the food was really good. We genuinely enjoyed our meal and were happy to come back again. Unfortunately, our experience ended on a very disappointing note. After we finished our meal and paid the bill, the cashier literally threw the billing terminal with our card back toward us. She did not simply place it on the table — she threw/dropped it in our direction, and it made a noticeable sound when it hit the table. We were honestly shocked by the way it was handled. We came to the restaurant to enjoy our meal and paid properly and politely. We did not expect such an attitude from the staff, especially at the very end of our visit. It is unfortunate because the food was genuinely good, and this was our second visit. However, the way we were treated at the end left us feeling disappointed and uncomfortable. Kindly review this incident and take note of the staff’s behavior. Customers deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, regardless of the situation. I hope the management can look into this and provide appropriate guidance to the staff so that other customers do not have the same experience.

Thanks to them, I finally fell in love with Japanese curry (I hope their curry is just like the one in Japan, because it's perfect). The sauce is super creamy, the heat is just right (another branch at the same level didn't have it at all), the ingredients are very fresh and well-prepared. And the staff is wonderful; they're attentive and friendly, even though I don't speak much Vietnamese. It's so weird that after so many years, I didn't dare try this food at the food court and missed out on so much time to try all their curries 😃
Located inside Landmark 81, the restaurant benefits from a cool and comfortable indoor environment, which makes dining in quite pleasant, especially compared to outdoor spots in the area. The pork curry rice stands out for its tender and juicy meat, with a rich sauce that pairs well with the rice. The portion size is generous, and despite how it looks at first glance, it is actually quite filling. For lighter eaters, one portion per person is enough, and sharing could also work depending on appetite. In terms of flavor, the dish is well-executed and satisfying, though it may not feel particularly unique compared to other curry options. The drinks are fairly standard and do not leave a strong impression, serving mainly as a simple complement to the meal. The pricing is quite reasonable for this location, especially considering it is inside Landmark 81. Overall: a solid choice for a comfortable and filling meal with good portion sizes and decent food quality. While it may not be highly memorable in terms of flavor, it delivers a reliable and satisfying dining experience.
Pork Cutlet Omelette Curry : 5/10 rating This is one of the famous Japanese curry rice restaurant chain in HCM. I will usually order the pork cutlet omelette curry and mostly quite satisfied with the food standard. But today I am quite disappointed as the rice a bit soggy and pork cutlet also have a weird taste. Hence I can only award 3 stars … if during my next visit and their standard is back to normal, I will consider to edit my review
A cozy and consistent Japanese curry spot right inside Landmark 81. 🍛 We ordered two dishes — one with classic beef curry rice and another with omelette curry topped with fried cutlet. Both were delicious and had that signature CoCo flavor — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced between sweet and spicy. The portion size was generous, and the rice texture was spot-on. They also served kimchi on the side, which surprisingly paired well with the curry. The staff were friendly, service was quick, and the restaurant had a clean, relaxed atmosphere — perfect for a quick lunch with kids. 👦🏻 Highly recommend for anyone craving comforting Japanese curry in Saigon.
