The Story

About This Place

Délichi sits at the far end of an alley off Nguyễn Văn Hưởng, its open terrace overlooking a cluster of active pickleball courts — a setting that gives it a character entirely its own among Thao Dien dining options. The address demands a little patience to find; follow the alley all the way through and the courts and the eatery appear together at the end.

The crowd that fills the tables tends to arrive in athletic gear, hungry after two-hour sessions, and the kitchen delivers accordingly: portions are generous, prices sit comfortably below what comparable spots in the neighbourhood charge, and service is quick enough that food lands before legs have had time to stiffen. Delivery is also available for those who prefer to eat elsewhere, though on-site is clearly the intended experience.

The menu covers more ground than a sports-club canteen might suggest. Potato wedges have earned specific repeat praise; the pasta has pulled diners back for a second visit; fresh salads provide a lighter counterpoint that works either alongside something heartier or as a standalone. Coffee and fresh juices extend the drinks range, making Délichi as viable for a mid-morning stop as for a post-match wind-down over wine.

What defines the atmosphere is its ease. Tables face the courts, games playing out as a backdrop without demanding attention. Staff are noted consistently across visits for being warm and genuinely unhurried rather than professionally distant — the kind of service that fits a clientele that already knows each other from the court and is in no particular rush to leave.

This is my second time eating at Delichi — once by delivery and once on-site, right in the middle of the pickleball courts. The food is fresh and delicious, the service is quick, and the prices are very reasonable. I’ll definitely come back! The menu is varied, and there’s something for everyone. Don’t hesitate to go — it’s all the way at the end of the alley!
