I came here for a Sunday afternoon concert with 3 bands. I think that these are held monthly or bi-monthly. Check their schedule. The crowd was mixed, but mostly foreigners. The neighbourhood is a wealthy enclave here in Saigon, District 2. I'd not been to this area before. It's not my scene, but I'm glad that I attended.

Evita Sports Bar - Sports bar in Ho Chi Minh City

About This Place
Evita Sports Bar fills a gap in Thao Dien's otherwise cafe-and-restaurant-heavy strip — a proper sports bar with five free pool tables, dart boards, and enough screens to follow multiple matches at once. It sits on Nguyễn Văn Hưởng in the middle of District 2's expat enclave, and the crowd reflects that geography: predominantly English-speaking foreigners who've folded it into their weekly rotation.
The kitchen punches above the bar-food baseline. Chicken quesadilla and pepperoni pizza draw consistent repeat orders, and across 576 Google reviews the food registers as a genuine draw rather than an obligatory menu. Pricing sits well below what the address might suggest.
Service is the venue's most frequently cited strength. Staff maintain glasses before the halfway mark and keep a warm, unhurried tone through the full run to 4 AM — a closing time that applies every night of the week. Live music events, typically three-band lineups, pull larger weekend crowds and run on a monthly or bi-monthly schedule worth checking in advance.
The billiard tables anchor the floor plan with enough surrounding sightlines that non-players can watch the action comfortably from a bar stool. Dart boards provide a secondary option between sporting fixtures. For groups with mixed interest levels — some watching a match, others running a pool tournament — the layout handles both without conflict.
Among the handful of bars in Thao Dien that stay open past midnight, Evita Sports Bar operates closest to the neighborhood-pub model: a place to catch a fixture, run a long tab, and stay without the table-turnover pressure common to the area's restaurant-bar hybrids.
Reviews
Very fun place with a lot of expats and English speaking crowd. Shows all sports matches and they have 5 pool tables. The crowd is also very friendly
Too much fun! Just added this place to my tipsy list. Good pizza, friendly staff, and I got the perfect view of the billiard table-could watch all the games while chilling. Prices were great, nothing to complain about. Definitely coming back!
This bar can possibly go downhill soon. Recently, There’s one customer who keeps sticking his nose into other customers’ business and looks for a fight whenever he feels like it. Nobody is interested in what he has to say or invites him to join the conversation, yet he keeps creeping in. On top of that, he claims he’s the boyfriend of one of the bar managers, which makes him think he’s untouchable. I wouldn’t be surprised if customers stop coming or if most of the staff end up quitting. We’ll see if the owner and managers notice and take action, because this place risks losing a lot of loyal customers and won’t attract new ones either. I will not come back, recommend, or bring my friends here again. Words spread. (Reply to owner’s response: We respect the effort you took to reply to us and hope you had a nice Christmas. To clarify a few points: 1. The members of staff were amazing and are not the reason for the low score. We understand they are not there to put themselves in danger or to deal with customers who feel the need to throw tantrums. 2. This is not a personal issue, but our evaluation and perception based on repeated incidents. The actions of the customer in question happened more than once, and our experience was not based on a single night. 3. This review was written on behalf of other people who visited the venue at the same time and shared the same opinion. The issue should have been resolved in a timely manner and not allowed to continue for days. 4. Sane people should know when to back off if they are not invited or welcomed, and should mind their own business. 5. We may return one day if we hear that things are back in order and that preventive measures for problematic customers have been put in place (although this is, of course, up to you). Happy New Year )
Well, I tell you what. - find a better sports bar in district 2. You cannot! The staff are amazing - the food is so dope. Every time my glass is like 25% full the staff are already filling it up. Best service you will get!
