Hanok Maeul Pasta is a fusion restaurant on Quốc Hương in Thao Dien, listed as both Italian and Korean, with takeout and dine-in.
Found it so interesting that for starters they served pickled banchan with a milk bun + strawberry jam. Had the rose pasta with smoked duck paired with white wine. Very delicious. Sauce was slightly sweet, duck not too salty. Pasta & meat paired so well together. Together with wine was chef’s kiss. (Now that I think about it, probably an elevated version of buldak rose carbonara with sausage🤣 what’s there not to like?)

The space is beautifully decorated with a very unique aesthetic that stands out from many other restaurants in Vietnam. It has a lovely atmosphere. The menu is small but diverse, with a clear focus on their pasta specialties while still offering a nice variety of flavours and options. Everything we ordered was fresh, arrived quickly, and was exactly as described on the menu. The portion sizes were also generous, so you definitely get good value for what you order. We also appreciated that they are welcoming to families, with seating options such as high chairs available for small children. Overall, a lovely restaurant with beautiful design, fresh food, generous portions, and a menu that really showcases their pasta.

4.5/5 ⭐️ New restaurant in the area. Came in for lunch and no staff was around until I poked my head into the kitchen (I was waiting for a while). They offered me a salad 🥗 for waiting. Now that’s good service 👍 . Ambiance was simple and bare. Felt empty and casual which is not bad. Menu was just laminated pictures with tape on it. I can’t tell if this was supposed to be a casual eat or a more elevated place. (Has a lot of potential! Maybe the restaurant just needs a little more time). I got their Ragu Pasta. Pasta was nicely al dente! 👍. The beef was well cooked and tender. However, there were hard pieces of fat at the end of the meat that were just not great. All that piece of meat needed was a little trim and it would’ve been perfect. Worth coming back for another try!
