The Story

About This Place

Le Petit Géant sits on Nguyễn Quý Cảnh in the An Phú An Khánh stretch of District 2, drawing regulars who come specifically for the egg coffee — a menu centerpiece offered in multiple flavor variations, which sets it apart from the standard café roster across Thao Dien. The retro interior, French music soundtrack, and mix of indoor and outdoor seating create an atmosphere closer to a European reading room than a typical Vietnamese coffee shop.

The setup suits working visitors more than most nearby options: tables run tall and wide, leaving enough surface area for a laptop alongside a drink without feeling cramped. The atmosphere skews quieter and more private than many competitors in the area, a practical advantage on mornings when the busier co-working cafés are at capacity. Pricing sits at 50–70k VND for coffee or beer, reasonable for the neighborhood.

The egg coffee remains the clearest reason to make the trip. Reviewers consistently single it out across its flavor variants as the standout item — smooth, rich, and specific enough to read as a deliberate specialty rather than a novelty addition. Beer is also on the menu, which extends the viable visit window into the afternoon.

The space is compact, a limitation that reviewers note during peak hours, and service has drawn occasional criticism for being slow or inattentive. For a quiet morning or midday session in a retro-styled room with French music and a well-executed egg coffee, Le Petit Géant delivers a focused experience that rewards solo visitors and remote workers more than large groups.

Really love this cafe with the cozy atmosphere, French music, good for working with the high and big tables. The coffee here is quite good, just a bit sweet for me. Price around 50-70k/ coffee or beer. Would come back again
