Very good food. Nice ambience. Loved the wagyu sandwich, the grilled wagyu and grilled fish.

Nice service. Good portion. Sushi n sashimi were fresh. Egg-wrapped Fried rice and salmon roll with roe (UR06) are recommended.

I visited Matsuri on the strength of the reviews and I couldn’t be more disappointed in every possible way. Here is an honest account, you can thank me later :) The menu is promising with lots of coloured pictures of fun options. The reality is more sober. This is not a sushi restaurant with a sushi chef, it is sushi assembly. They obviously buy things processed in a factory and assemble them and reheat them upon order. Most food came in under 20 seconds if that says anything. Fish freshness is poor. It won’t make you sick but it’s borderline. Nigiri has way too much yucky rice. Sashimi is limp and aged. Salads were flavourless and yet over salted. Chawanmushi was nasty. See the faulty machine separation in my pic? See the indecipherable factory thing on the chawanmushi? The ginger was dyed pink. Wasabi had no semblance of spice. To add to the terrible food, the ambiance was awful. The attached video is a symphony of cutlery sorting that they did for 20 minutes. Obnoxious! The staff also disappeared and needed to be fetched every time. The place is an echo chamber for sound with big groups of office people cackling. You’d be best to steer clear of this place when there are countless excellent options nearby in Japantown just a few minutes east. You’re welcome!

The place is beautiful and the view from outside sitting is great.. Loved the litchi mango tea.. absolutely fantastic 🥰👌🏻 The ramen was okay .. not very special being the absolute try dish (speciality) of this place.. and some of the dishes are only for lunch. Overall recommended..
