Very pleasantly surprised! The food was excellent: pasta carbonara was rich, creamy, and tasty; roasted tomato pasta / ragu was also delicious - the pastas were cooked perfectly al dente and had that "home-made" taste - and the mushroom and ham pizza was also excellent, with a well-textured dough both cripsy on the outside and fluffy inside. The chocolate lava cake was an excellent way to end the meal: a deep chocolate flavor, with a great chocolate ooze. The ambience might be deceptively simple on the outside, but its location right by the river made for a lovely evening, with direct views of Landmark 81 and its adjacent skyscrapers, as the boats and barges on the Saigon River floated lazily by. It started raining during dinner and it added to the dimly lit atmosphere. The staff were sweet and friendly. This pasta shop was a surprise, sleeper hit for both the food and the view!

Reviews
Such a great restaurant with Saigon river view. Outdoor seats are just next to river, beautiful atmosphere. Their pasta are amazing 🫶🏼 . The staffs are lovely will come back for sure
Solid choice with plenty of space for family and kids. Excellent service as well. Food is quite good but nothing special, the taste is consistent every time I visit.
Pho Ong Tay Pho & Pasta Bar. What a concept. Good for that fresh pasta fix and al fresco (outdoors dining). No indoor seats. Casual fare and no egregious faults… a bit pricy as they charge for the sauce and then pasta on top of it which brings an individual entrée up to almost USD $13 taxes in. Pasta cooked the way Vietnamese would like it, not a world traveler. Maybe can specify. Didn’t ask. Five stars anyways.
The Pomelo salad was delicious. It served on a large plate. The Gnocchi was not bad either, but it wasn't a very memorable taste for me. (I may have had too high expectations) The hamburger was just okay. There was a sweet sauce on the burger that had an unfamiliar taste.
