I’ve been to Sushi Haru quite a few times now, and it has become one of my go-to Japanese restaurants in central Saigon. My absolute favourite is the mango salmon sushi. It sounds like an unusual combination at first, but the sweetness of the mango works very well with the richness of the salmon. I also highly recommend the soft-shell crab salad, which is another dish I keep coming back for. The menu is very extensive, so there’s something for everyone—from sushi and sashimi to maki, tempura, grilled dishes, ramen and rice bowls. It’s especially convenient for groups with different tastes. The Nguyen Thai Hoc branch is easy to reach and very central, although it can get quite busy and noisy during peak hours. I usually come around 11am for lunch or 6pm for dinner for a more comfortable experience. The staff are friendly and the ordering system is easy enough with the QR menu. There’s also an English menu, which is helpful for international visitors. Overall, definitely worth trying if you’re looking for a Japanese restaurant in District 1. And please trust me on the mango salmon. I’ve recommended it far too many times at this point 😂

When I visited, the restaurant was quite busy, but the service was very good. The fresh oysters were absolutely amazing, and the salmon sashimi was great too. The udon was decent, and the sushi was quite delicious

This place is SO good. Some of the best sushi I’ve had and I have a lot of sushi. Very reasonable pricing for the quality. The service was super nice and efficient which made our experience that much better! We loved the salmon and salmon roe roll so much! Thanks so much!

A great branch of the local sushi chain. The food was exceptional, especially the eel bbq rice. Service was excellent and very attentive and the interior is nicely modern, but playing some weirdly upbeat pop music. Prices were reasonable and my only complaint is that parking is not in front. Park your motorbike at the end of the alley to the left of the restaurant and you will get a card for free parking when you pay your bill.
