Nothing special. I don’t know why they have so much reviews. Staff does not know how to smile. None of the staff can speak proper English. Waitress screams wait a minute when called or mid conversation just runs away to call another waitress who speaks better(not good in general) English. Food is just average. Any place would taste no less than this. For me, did not meet my expectations and prices are not that convenient either.
The food was stellar, service is very quick although we were a small table in at a quiet time. Highlights were salmon sashimi, which was fresh, and the spicy sauce rolls, the spicy sauces being very good. Rice and Unagi with egg was also very nicely seasoned and filling. Beef truffle was pretty okay aswell
Oysters, fish, eel, prawns are excellent - very fresh and tasty. The little touch about the little wrapped towel was served in a stone holder with a dash of water is what makes Sushi Masa a cute experience! Like how the service professional asked what spice level is required for the wasabi. Service was also timely and personal. Love the Japanese music. Highly recommend this must-go-to outlet.
Food comes out crazy quick, which could be a good or bad thing, but the uni is fresh and the Saba was warm so maybe they’re just super efficient. One star off for hygiene though - the waitress was clearly sick. Coughing frequently without covering her mouth. Didn’t bother me at first but after a few plates I really wanted to leave.
Great spot for sushi if you’re in the area. The service was super friendly and quick, and the fish tasted really fresh. Everything we ordered was honestly really good and well made. You can tell they care about quality here. Reasonable price. If you’re a local or just visiting, I’d definitely recommend stopping by Sushi Masa for high-quality sushi and a solid overall experience. I’d come back for sure. Great place for a first date btw.
