We tried the Chana Masala and Bhindi Masala which were both very good. The chef was concerned the Bhindi Masala may have too much oil, but honestly, this is where the flavor is. He also brought some homemade chili ‘pickle’ which was extremely good and raised the level of deliciousness for both dishes. The chili pickle’ is really tasty, ask for it if you want extra heat and flavor.\n\nWe also had some Sweet Lassi which had a hint of strawberry. It was delicious (served perfect with no ice, which I like).\n\nThey gave us a free papad which was crisp and fresh, so we ordered a Masala Papadam which was also very tasty, but a tad moist from the toppings.\n\nWe also had the Roti Tava (cooked dry on hot iron) which was excellent. I make this bread often at home, and this is similar to mine (delicious).\n\nThis chef obviously has a lot of experience, has a good palette for flavor, and really cares about how his food is received by his customers. I can tell, I know.\n\nWe also tried their masala chai which was excellent. They serve the sugar on the side so you can adjust the level of sweetness according to taste. The tea had a perfect blend of spices with a hint of black pepper which I like. Honestly, it’s like eating a home cooked meal at a friend’s home.\n\nThis is a new restaurant so I hope word gets out. For anyone who is looking for exceptional vegetarian food in Saigon, look no further, this place checks all the boxes.\n\nAlso, please note, they are located in the second level (first floor) above a pub, so it’s not obvious. Look for the circular staircase on the left, go up and enjoy delicious Indian food served by nice people.
