Lão Trư BBQ & Beer - Phạm Ngọc Thạch - Barbecue restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Spotted this restaurant while I was walking by, I decided to go in and give it a try. I sat down and a menu was brought over. I ordered the Smoked Pork Sausage with Fries and Bacon Fried Rice. After a short wait my order was ready. The sausage was delicious and the fried rice was very good. The restaurant looked clean and the service was excellent.

Food: brilliant. Had wonderful beef ribs with mash. They flambe it at the table which was unexpected and very fun. Also had prawn salad with a Pork main. The first place that serves seasoned chips in Saigon. Fantastic. Atmosphere was nice and not over the top. The staff were great. Very helpful and friendly.

a nice place, good beer and really good food, what me pisses of: in the menue they have medium size beer with 640 ml, but they brought small one, this is CHEATING (easy to calculate: half diameter of the glas in square multiplied with pi multiplied with height of the glas)

The space is very big and airy , all the tables are well-prepared. Staffs are very nice. They helped to order best sellers of the place and we are pleased to get 1 gigantic beer 💕💕💕 They open from 3PM. Guests are coming from 6PM. Dishes are served very fast. The dishes here are very delicious from salad to grilled and rice. I mean everything is so so delicious ❤️❤️❤️ I love the atmosphere here very much. I definitely will come back here one day 🥰🥰🥰 everything was so nice 😚😚😚 Recommend this place for group of friends or family meeting. You will be satisfied 👌👌👌

Very disappointing experience with Lao Tru BBQ. They advertised a promotion, but the details were unclear and incomplete, which made the whole experience confusing and frustrating. The promotion seems poorly suited for couples or small groups, as the value and requirements appear geared toward larger parties. If the service is already bad from booking experience, I don’t even wanna try it in person.
