Memento Saigon - Cocktail bar in Ho Chi Minh City

Absolutely loved Memento Saigon. The atmosphere is beautiful — intimate, stylish and full of character. It feels like a little hidden escape from the city, and the interiors are even better in person. The staff were amazing throughout — warm, attentive and genuinely great service. Drinks were great too, but the ambience is what really makes this place special. One thing to know: it’s a 4-floor walk up with no lift, so be prepared 😄 But once you get there, completely worth it. Definitely one of the more memorable bars I’ve visited in Saigon. Would happily come back.

lovely bar, lovely, cosy, intimate setting - perfect for date nights. i love that its not too noisy. also enjoyed their cocktails, comes with a side of very addictive peanuts (if i remember correctly). got a white russian and wake me up in hanoi and both were well executed. attentive, excellent service too from the staff. will be back again when i am in hcmc (:

Unassuming speakeasy that felt like it came right out of a John Wick movie. I came around 1030pm and was looking for a coffee shop that unfortunately closed for the night. I ventured all the way the stairs to be greeted by the dead end bookshelf. I took a picture and stood around contemplating next moves. To my surprise a beverage concierge opened the bookshelf door to unveil the wonderful establishment. The night aesthetics are a quiet low light Victorian style setting. The beverage director was kind enough to create a banger of a cocktail based on my wants and tastes. 10/10 would go again. Perfect setting for a date, conversations, or just a good time.

You may feel like you're in the wrong place but keep climbing the stairs and trust the process. Behind the bookshelf door is an incredibly charming bar and cafe! I opted for a coffee since I was still on the clock, but would certainly come back for a cocktail. Ambience is top-tier.

After climbing several flights of stairs, if you still weren’t already captivated by the raw charm of Vietnamese architecture, Memento Bar seals the deal. An absolute hidden gem in Saigon full of character, atmosphere, and authenticity. From the unique setting to the incredible vibe, this place delivers a true cultural experience rather than just another cocktail spot. And the Old Fashioned? Easily the best I’ve had so far absolute dream of a drink. A real class act and one of the best bars worth visiting in the city.
