Mori Coffee nằm trên một đoạn đường Thảo Điền khá yên tĩnh, với danh sách hạt cà phê nổi bật ngay cả theo tiêu chuẩn ngày càng khắt khe của khu vực. Trong khi hầu hết các quán specialty chỉ dành cà phê single-origin cho phương pháp pha filter, menu ở đây cho phép chọn các lot này qua nhiều phương pháp khác nhau, kể cả espresso — một điểm khác biệt nhỏ nhưng có ý nghĩa với những khách quen thường xuyên thay đổi lựa chọn qua từng lần ghé.
Chương trình pour-over là điểm neo của trải nghiệm: một giống cà phê Mexico pha theo kiểu Americano, catimor Việt Nam được thực hiện theo phong cách Nhật, và đủ sự xoay vòng để khiến khách muốn quay lại nhiều lần. Matcha sparkling thu hút sự chú ý đặc biệt — nhiều người đã so sánh nó thuận lợi với những thức uống từng thưởng thức ở Nhật, Úc và Hong Kong. Coco cold brew và cinnamon latte cũng có lượng fan riêng trong số những người không mặn mà với filter.
Không gian được giữ cố tình nhỏ gọn — chỗ ngồi có hạn, vật liệu tự nhiên, nhạc nền thư thái, và ba bốn chú mèo đi lại trong phòng, tạo nên phần lớn bầu không khí của quán. Những người làm việc với laptop thường ngồi cả buổi chiều giữa tuần, bị thu hút bởi sự yên tĩnh và giờ mở cửa từ 7:30 sáng. Menu ngắn là lựa chọn có chủ đích: một vài tùy chọn được chọn lọc kỹ thay vì một danh sách dài dòng.
Một vài lưu ý thực tế nên biết trước khi đến: thanh toán bằng thẻ đôi khi gặp sự cố dù có bảng chấp nhận Visa, nên tiền mặt vẫn là lựa chọn chắc ăn hơn. Oat milk tính thêm 30.000 VND. Giá nhỉnh hơn so với mặt bằng chung ở Thảo Điền, phản ánh chất lượng nguồn nguyên liệu. Những chú mèo thực sự là một phần tính cách của quán — chúng không ở gần khu vực pha chế, dù ý kiến về điều này vẫn chia làm hai phía khá rõ ràng tùy theo quan điểm vệ sinh của mỗi người.

Beautiful spot, and love the cats! They're so sweet and friendly. I had this cinnamon latte while working from my laptop here for the day. It was quite good and flavorful. The staff was also polite. The only thing I didn't like is that they didn't let me pay with my card after telling them I was traveling and trying to conserve cash. Even though they had the Visa logo prominently posted. Outside of that, it was a nice spot to sip my coffee and and get some focused work done!
I’m genuinely blown away by how incredible the matcha sparkling at Mori Coffee is! 🌿✨ The flavor is so refined and perfectly balanced — smooth, refreshing, and full of depth. Honestly, it tastes even better than some of the matcha drinks I’ve tried in Japan, Australia, and Hong Kong. The aroma, the texture, and the subtle sweetness all come together beautifully, making it a truly world-class experience. Huge compliments to Mori Coffee for crafting something this exceptional! 👏☕️
Loved the natural vibes and atmosphere in this cafe of tranquility and zen. I tried the Mexican varietal of hot, pour over coffee in an Americano format and loved the subtle flavours that danced forth on my pallate. Some people had complained that the cats were unhygenic but tbh they add to the sense of calm in the cafe and they were nowhere near the food prep areas as some had claimed in their reviews. Staff were on point, able to answer both my coffee menu queries and explain the drink differences with a smile. Free chilled water with tactical top ups was a nice added touch too. I will definitely be back for a return visit or two in the future!
I ordered Vietnamese catimor hand-poured brew coffee. It was dark roasted but under extracted. The barista clearly wanted to use Japanese-style brewing to express the richness of flavour. Suggestion is use origami or flannel filter. Hope coffee can be better. Their cats are supremely cute by the way:)
Friendly staff, decent menu and nice interior/atmosphere, but having 3-4 cats constantly walking around in a Food & Beverage facility is totally not acceptable. It is just not hygienic to have cats walking on tables, chairs, and worst of all also where the food is prepared. Their litter box is positioned at the back of the café as well, inside the guests area. They look cute but animals just don't belong where food is prepared and served. I see others have commented on it below even a year ago but it seems the management is not convinced this is an issue. A pity as otherwise I'd love to come back.
