I had a disappointing experience here. We were visiting from the U.S. and are used to Japanese BBQ there, so we understand there can be differences, but the service really affected our visit. Our Vietnamese is limited, and it felt like our server was laughing and talking about us with other staff. It was noticeable and made us uncomfortable, which took away from the overall experience. If there were differences in how the food is meant to be prepared or eaten here, we would have appreciated some guidance instead of being laughed at. When it came time to pay, things were also confusing. We had mentioned upfront that we wanted to pay by credit card, but instead of explaining the process, she placed an iPad in front of us without guidance. She mentioned Apple Pay, but there was no clear indication of where to tap, which left us unsure of what to do. Only after we said we would use a card did she explain that it needed to be taken to the front to be processed. The lack of clear communication, combined with how we were treated, made the experience feel awkward and frustrating.
