Had a great experience at Tomato Kitchen! Did read a lot of great reviews about it and the pizzas looked amazing in the photos so had to try it. We ordered the Margherita pizza at 149,000 VND. And, while it was tempting to try a different variety I didn’t want to get food envy 😆 We didn’t have to wait long. The pizzas were delicious. Personal preference would’ve been for the pizzas to be a bit more salty. I usually don’t put any additional sauces on my pizza but I was recommended to try the homemade chilli oil. It was exceptional and gave a fantastic kick to the pizza when I added it to the crust only. Great price for what you get. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Note that there is no wine. There is beer and it may differ from what’s on the menu. The night we went it was Tiger beer for only 35,000 VND. Highly recommend!

I really love this charming little local Italian restaurant. It is owned and operated by two very friendly people (a man and woman…perhaps husband-wife or brother-sister? It felt rude to ask!). I came here twice and loved all the food I had - pizza, pasta, French fries, and pumpkin soup. The atmosphere is quaint and charming (mostly indoor, but there are balcony tables available as well), the service is attentive, and the food is a really cool take on traditional Italian fare. Also very reasonably priced! Really nice find, tucked away in a little corner of district 3. I highly recommend making a reservation - the first time I was here, it was a very rainy Friday night and it was easy to get a seat. The second time was a clear Saturday night and the whole place was booked out (turned away kindly at the door). The last time was a Thursday night (made a reservation this time) and the whole restaurant was once again booked. I’m happy to see the restaurant getting a lot of attention, from both travelers and locals alike! But it does mean you should make a reservation in advance - just walking in is definitely risky.

She was so happy when she saw us come up the stairs and opened the door for us. We were sat down in the coziest corner of the room with delightful tunes and very homey decorations. Simple handwritten menu without pictures or the unnecessary grand exposition. We had the burrata salad, grilled seabass, shrimp pesto pasta (fresh), and the Hawaii pizza. EVERYTHING was absolutely superb. We found this place by accident just wandering looking for a quick lunch. Tomato Kitchen is mountains better than the big, famous, fancy, and expensive places. Can't get a reservation at the popular spots, come here instead. Come here FIRST.

Tomato Kitchen was a nice little surprise for dinner while in Ho Chi Minh City. If you are craving a break from Vietnamese cuisine, this spot offers surprisingly good pizza that really hits the spot. The place itself is simple and no frills, but that is part of its charm. It has a laid back, casual feel that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your meal. The pizza was better than expected, with great flavor and a satisfying crust that makes it worth the visit. If you are in the mood for something different and want a fun, low key place to grab a good slice, Tomato Kitchen is definitely worth checking out.

If you believe these reviews you’ll regret it at first bite. If it’s the best pizza you’ve ever had then you must explore just a little more and just try more pizza. I had ordered two items ,the linguine soup bolognese and a margherita pizza two basic simple meals that’s hard to botch. The linguine came out wet/soupy not saucy but that’s ok but the noodles were cooked should I say well done or mush,if I wanted noodle soup I would’ve gotten Pho or Bbh. Pizza was ok salty dough though . Never once the sever came over to ask how everything was seeing a whole plate of noodles just sitting there mind you there were no other customers. Just avoid this place, not a gem at all.
