Izakaya TOKI - Japanese restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I arrived at 10:00 PM. I called beforehand and was told that the last order was at 10:30 PM, but when I got there, they suddenly said they were no longer accepting orders for grilled dishes. The restaurant was extremely hot and the air conditioning wasn’t even on. The food was disappointing. I honestly don’t understand the high ratings, after visiting, it felt like the reviews might be bought. The staff were sitting around in front of the restaurant, laughing and talking loudly. When customers were leaving, staff members were standing in front of the entrance, making it uncomfortable to get out. I also ordered fried chicken, but it was almost entirely batter with barely any chicken inside. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Service was excellent friendly, efficient, and attentive without being overbearing. The staff made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Overall, Izakaya Toki delivers on all fronts: authentic atmosphere, great food, and solid service. It’s a top choice in Saigon if you’re craving a proper izakaya experience.

Très bien. Prix raisonnable. Food very good. Staff cute. Nice customers but noisy since they have a party today. Definitely comeback.

It is the best Japanese I’ve had in a while from fried chicken skin to extra fatty tuna to seared beef tongue all is made well and with care. Chicken gizzard skewers, grilled tuna belly all appetizing. The variety available on the menu makes it an all inclusive place for great Japanese cuisine.
