This place is delicious! We had the curry chicken to share. It was crispy while still drenched in sauce. It’s also chicken thighs that are somehow boneless yet the chicken is still in tact if that makes sense? It’s not like a boneless chicken you’d find usually where the meat all ground up. It’s like a chicken thigh somehow without the bone. Unsure how they do it but it’s soooo good! Wish I found this place sooner.

It was my first time visiting & it turned out to be the worst experience I've ever had at a Korean restaurant. While we were waiting for our food (if it was ever going to come), a small rat was roaming around the long booth. Everyone panicked and ran. After waiting for more than 30 minutes, the staff came over and told us they had forgotten to mark our order as complete, so the kitchen hadnt even received it yet. We were then asked to wait for another 20–25 minutes. Unfortunately it didnt end there. We had ordered 3 dishes, they said one of them was only served in the morning which was weird bcuz my friends who visited here before said it wasnt like that the last time they visited, bibimbap was always all day served. Anyway, we had to switch it to another dish. But when our orders were served, there was only 2 dishes. When we pointed it out, they insisted we had only ordered 2 and asked if we wanted to order more now. At this point we couldnt even enjoyed anything else so we said no, tried to finish our dishes & left. I rarely give a rating below 3 stars but this place seems like it's even worse than that

Ovenmaru has been around for a while, and I remember trying it 7-8 years ago. It’s still one of the best spots for chicken lovers. Their focus on chicken dishes is the real highlight. They offer a variety of sauces, and the prices are very reasonable. A small portion costs around 1xx k but is big enough for 2-3 people, which makes it way better value than places like KFC, Texas, or McDonald’s. One thing I really like is the free sides they serve when you dine in: a mixed salad, pickled radish, and kimchi. If you need more, they’ll charge about 25k VND per portion, which is still pretty affordable. The food here is so good. Aside from chicken, their cheesy fried rice are must-tries — so much cheese! They also have buttery bread with dipping sauces, which is super tasty, and the rice rolls are also worth mentioning. Even their seafood sauces are decent. For the price, I’d give the food a 9.5/10. That said, the ambiance could use some love. The space feels a bit old and isn’t super inviting — maybe a 6/10. The staffs are okay, friendly enough, but not super attentive, so I’d rate the service around 8/10. All in all, if you’re into chicken, Ovenmaru is totally worth it. The food really stands out, and the prices are great for the portions you get!

The chicken was really delicious, it was perfectly crispy and we'll spiced. You also get sides with your order, and the portions are decent which makes it a good place to share dishes if you have a group. The ambiance was nice, it was a younger crowd so there were a lot of people taking photos and whatnot. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated and the music was not too loud. The menu does have some English translations as well.
