Very disappointing experience. We came to 2cms with high expectations, as the restaurant presents itself as a refined and rather sophisticated dining destination in Saigon. Unfortunately, the food did not match that positioning at all. The menu itself was surprisingly basic. Egg mayonnaise and pâté can of course be excellent dishes when the ingredients and execution are exceptional, but what we were served did not justify the expectations created by the restaurant. The pâté in particular was overcooked, dry and hard. The wine we ordered was also disappointing and did nothing to improve the experience. My wife and I eventually decided to leave after the starters rather than continue with the meal. This is extremely unusual for us. There is nothing wrong with serving simple French food. In fact, simplicity can be exceptional. But when a restaurant positions itself at a premium level, simplicity needs outstanding ingredients, precise execution and a very good wine selection. Unfortunately, our experience delivered none of those things.
