The Story

About This Place

CCollective occupies a niche that Thao Dien's café scene rarely attempts: a fully functioning bike workshop sharing floor space with a specialty coffee counter. The owner—a filmmaker with a deep investment in cycling culture—has shaped the space into something with genuine character: exposed tools, road bikes mounted on the walls, and a café floor where the lighting is as considered as the espresso.

The workshop side is taken seriously. Staff diagnose issues on the spot and give accurate time estimates; bikes come back tuned and dialed in. Bike fitting is offered by Hoang, whose approach draws riders from across Saigon specifically for that service. Beyond full tune-ups, the shop runs a bike spa for cleaning and detailing, with all professional tools on hand.

On the drinks side, the salted milk coffee has become a standout order, alongside a tea menu that regulars describe as exceptional. Smoothies round out the list. The space functions well as a working environment—good acoustics from a curated music playlist, strong natural light, and enough breathing room that it doesn't feel crowded during slow mornings. A selection of cycling books adds to the sense that the place was assembled with a specific reader in mind.

What separates CCollective from Thao Dien's other cafés is how much it packs into a single visit. A cyclist can drop the bike for a 90-minute service, settle into the café, and leave with both a repaired drivetrain and a second coffee. The crowd skews toward road cyclists and weekend riders, though the minimalist interior pulls in remote workers looking for a quieter alternative to the neighborhood's busier spots. Closed Mondays; open from 6:30 AM the rest of the week.

A perfect stop for cyclists with taste. CCollective nails the vibe — part Euro bike café, part Vietnamese creative hub. The owner, a film guy with a deep love for cycling, brings style and soul to the space. Bike service? Super precise. Coffee? Always on point. It’s the kind of spot you’ll keep coming back to — whether for a tune-up or a slow morning.
