Cloud Pot Restaurant falls short of expectations, especially considering the price point and location. While the ingredients are acceptable, the overall dining experience is disappointing. The condiment station offers very limited choices, which is unusual for a hotpot restaurant and significantly reduces the enjoyment for diners who prefer to customize their sauces. The dessert and drink buffet is also weak, with minimal variety and little appeal, adding very little value to the meal. More importantly, the dining experience at the Vincom Thao Dien outlet is negatively affected by poor air-conditioning. The aircon is noticeably weak, making the environment uncomfortable—particularly for hotpot dining—where proper cooling is essential. Overall, Cloud Pot does not deliver a satisfying experience. Improvements in condiment options, dessert and beverage variety, and especially better air-conditioning are necessary before it can be recommended.

CLOUD POT Vincom Thao Dien - Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City
About This Place
Positioned on the dining floor of Vincom Megamall at 161 Võ Nguyên Giáp, Cloud Pot draws steady crowds who want a full hotpot experience without leaving the air-conditioned comfort of the shopping center. The format centers on a steaming pot with proteins ordered by tier — the seafood option brings clams, fish, and beef to the table, and diners who have tried it consistently flag the ingredient quality as the kitchen's clearest strength. Rather than a DIY sauce bar, Cloud Pot leans on a curated selection of premade dipping sauces; regulars tend to appreciate the consistency, though guests accustomed to the sprawling condiment stations found at standalone hotpot chains may find the range narrower than expected. The dessert and drink buffet is included but occupies a secondary role — a pleasant addition rather than a draw in its own right. Service is attentive, and the dining room carries a polished, softly leafy aesthetic that reads more relaxed than its mall address might suggest. Steam times run longer than fast-casual hotpot formats, which suits a slow, conversational meal better than a quick lunch. For Thao Dien diners, the Vincom location makes it a practical anchor for an evening that starts with shopping — the 10 PM closing time accommodates post-cinema visits on weekends. The 4.7 average across nearly 470 reviews signals consistent execution rather than occasional brilliance, which is exactly what a group booking needs. Pricing sits above mid-range; the seafood tier in particular draws scrutiny for variety relative to cost, so groups with specific protein preferences are better served ordering from multiple tiers rather than committing solely to the seafood set.
Reviews
Overall was solid, we had the seafood option. We had some issues at first where we placed an order and it would say served but was never served... Items take a while to steam but our waitress tried her best and steamed some things in the back. I really enjoyed the premade sauces they had. The beef, clams, fish are all very good quality...however I feel for the pricier seafood option they should have more variety
Great!
