What an incredible American dining experience you can find in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City! The location is easy to access and you can't miss it with its bright neon signs that makes you feel like you've entered the US. The staff is very communicative and informative about the restaurant. They will take care of you and make sure you have served with every possible thing you need. The inside is filled with vintage singers , idols, and soothed with 80s tracks. A true american experience, relaxing and unforgettable! The menu seems a bit overwhelming at first, but eventually it all comes down to what you want to eat on the day you go. Yes, because this menu has daily deals based on the days of the week! Burgers, burritos, fries, milkshakes, hotdogs... you name it and you will see it! I truly recommend this place for anyone wanting to experience an American diner in Vietnam!

Eddie's (District 1) New York Deli & Diner - American restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City
Reviews
I had a really good meal at New York Grill. The scallops and salad stood out right away, and the rib eye was cooked just the way I like it. One steak came out a bit under, but it was fixed quickly and the apology felt genuine. I also appreciated being moved to a better table, which made the evening even more comfortable.
Great! Yes I know, an American diner in Vietnam... But sometimes you want a break from culture and local cuisine, fir something western and comfy... We'll Eddie's is exactly that. I'm fat, so I'm well qualified in reviewing food, and by Christ Eddie's is savage (as we say in Cork, Ireland). We loved it. The milkshakes are a must, DO NOT go to Eddie's and not order a milkshake, I'm telling you now you'll be disappointed. The burgers, the sharing platters, the breakfasts. 7 of us tried them all, it was bloody super. We went to the one in ho chi Minh near Ben than and another one that was outside the city main centre in a quiet subarb (put the wring Eddie's into grab) both were amazing.
The food is good. Onion rings average. Burger was good, and the fries more average. The milkshake was superb. The decor was nice. The staff were English speaking. Price was right. The bathroom needs better care. I had to fight with the dispenser to get soap and it was messy there.
Standard diner like Denny's back at home. Not usually one to eat at diners when in in a foreign country but it was thanksgiving and they had a t day set. Starter was a salad with a roll. The protein for the entree I ordered was turkey with dark and white. Sides were green bean casserole , mash potatoes , corn , and stuffing. The turkey came out room temperature and appeared to either have been processed beforehand and heated as I'm used to thick slices of turkey. What I got was chunks. All the sides were pretty decent except for the stuffing. Now I may be in the minority but I like it out of the box. The stuffing they had was subpar and the Stouffer's would have been much better. Also had a pumpkin pie which came out pretty decent. This rating is based in the thanksgiving meal which came close to 800k vnd. Not sure if this is the only show in town that does these for expats but I wouldn't return based on my experience and paying more than what I would back statesid for a meal that was lacking in my opinion.
