Overall disappointed with the quality for the high price paid. One of us had to vomit directly in front of the restaurant. Food: The strawberry chocolate milk was very delicious. They have many interesting alcohol-free drink options. The Udon were good. The first batch of Salmon temari were also really good. However they resembled nigiri rather than temari. Omakase roll: It was ok, but a lot of rice with not that much filling. Takoyaki: They were very soft and I could not notice any octopus inside. If there was any it must have been a tiny amount. Miso Oden: Very big portion and taste like Japan; far better than in convenience stores. Omakase Yakitori: They were ok, but I definitely had far better yakitori already. Second set of salmon temari: worse taste than the first set. I feel they used less fish. Mana katsuo temari: Also a lot of rice and not a lot of fish. It also did not have the typical smooth feeling of butterfish. Katsuo temari: The menu said that this is not the fried version. The invoice also confirmed I ordered the katsuo temari. However, it looked like the fried version. It also had almost no taste. The total bill was 900k VND. I have eaten much much better Japanese food for way less in Saigon. All in all very disappointed. During eating one of us felt unwell and had to vomit in front of the restaurant. We did not eat anything for hours before dining here. Service: No one outside to help/explain or watch parking. Staff tried to take the menu away without asking, then 10 minutes later said last order. Why not wait until then? Also the food came rather slow, especially the sushi roll. Atmosphere: A lot of decoration, but the higher parts of the walls were a bit lackluster. Other restaurants do better in creating a Japanese feeling.

Tried it once, not sure I’d come back Went to Me-Tetsu in Phu Nhuan because a friend invited me. The experience was… alright, but nothing memorable. Food: Dishes were pretty average – nothing really stood out. I get that izakaya portions are usually small, but here they felt extra small. One thing I did enjoy was the salmon hotpot – comforting and flavorful. The bottled sake selection was just like any other spot. Overall, I’d give the food a 6 or 7 out of 10. Service: The staff were friendly and nice, which I appreciated. Ambience: This part really needs work. The space felt a bit thrown together, and there wasn’t much attention to decor. It’s an enclosed place but with no proper ventilation, so after sitting for a while, the smell of smoke and food gets overwhelming – even made my eyes sting. Definitely not the cozy izakaya vibe I was hoping for. Price: For what it is, the price is on the higher side (around 300–400k per person). It didn’t really feel worth it. I gave it a try, but unless there are changes, I don’t think I’ll be coming back. Hope the place improves – it has potential, just needs more care in the details.

A lovey little place in a nice neighborhood. Prices are decent for Izakaya, food is quite good, drinks do their thing. Friendly stuff and cool vibes, not to mentioning anime being constantly shown. Cozy choice for a peaceful evening. Coming back!

Cute place just off the main road! Great little alley izakaya. Winners here are the grilled mackerel 🐟 and the cheese powder fries!
