Very good meat and spring rools Generous portion of sauce. If you are looking for a nice bún chả, I highly recommend it 👍

KIỐT Thảo Điền - Bún chả & bánh cuốn chấm - Vietnamese restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City
About This Place
Northern Vietnamese breakfast and lunch staples rarely land this well in Thao Dien. KIỐT Thảo Điền centers its menu on bún chả — grilled pork patties served with rice vermicelli and a bowl of sweet, tangy dipping sauce — and reviewers single out both the flavor calibration and the generosity of the sauce portions. Bánh cuốn, the delicate steamed rice rolls, fills out the other half of the menu, seasoned to the same northern standard that runs through the rest of the kitchen's output.
The space on Nguyễn Duy Hiệu is airy and clean, reflecting the practical character of the cooking. Prices sit at the affordable end for the neighborhood, a point that comes up unprompted across reviews from both Vietnamese and international customers — an uncommon combination in a district where restaurant costs skew noticeably higher.
The owners previously ran a location in Thạnh Mỹ Lợi and brought a following with them to this address. That history shows: the staff is warm and attentive, and the flavors read as consistent rather than those of a new kitchen still finding its footing. Opening at 6:30 AM Monday through Saturday makes it one of the earlier starts in the neighborhood. Sunday hours close at 1 PM, so any weekend visit needs to be planned as a morning meal.
For diners cycling through Thao Dien's international-leaning cafe and restaurant circuit who want something grounded in Vietnamese cooking, this address fills a real gap. The 4.9-star score across 13 reviews reflects a kitchen that has settled into its rhythm quickly since relocating.

It’s okay to try but not that good for the price. Understandable that TD is overpriced
I’m from Hanoi. Its been a struggle to find a bun cha / banh cuốn place that’s Hanoi style. This is by far the closest tastes to the ones from Hanoi. Bánh cuốn should be extremely thin with mince pork and wood ear mushrooms filling. Very simple but delicious. I do wish they grilled their chả miếng just a little longer so it’s crispier. The ladies were very kind as well. Highly recommend
Absolutely delicious Bun Cha and spring rolls 👍 The broth is slightly sweet, just the way we like it! The pork was cooked perfect and had just the right amount of fat to flavour and the herbs were crispy and fresh. Will be back to try other menu items for sure! 👌
banh cuon, hearty and delicious for a reasonable price…
