When I first heard about their prices and system, I honestly couldn’t believe it. 1-refill course of real sushi for just 650k sounded too good to be true. But once I tried it, I was blown away in a completely different way. This is genuine, high-level sushi craftsmanship. They use local Vietnamese fish, apply traditional techniques, and elevate them into remarkable Japanese sushi. To me, this shows immense respect for local ingredients. Of course, I respect sushi spots that serve exclusively imported Japanese fish—that requires a different kind of skill and mastery. But as for me, nothing gets me more excited than a place that turns local fish into something so delicious and authentically Japanese. While the fish is vital, the sushi rice (shari) is even more essential. They nail it here—the rice is perfect. Even their non-sushi rice dishes and rice bowls are amazingly tasty and very reasonably priced. Being so affordable means I can visit often. Plus, sharing a meal alongside foreign regulars—including people come from foreign country who truly understand and appreciate sushi—makes for such a wonderful dining experience. I genuinely regret not coming here sooner, but I fully intend to make up for lost time by visiting as much as I can from now on! Reservation recommended.
Sushi Kizuna - Japanese restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City
Reviews
They offers an authentic dining experience under a chef with an extensive professional background in Ginza, Osaka, and Dalian. The restaurant's core philosophy is to elevate local Vietnamese seafood using traditional Japanese techniques. Their lunch omakase course, priced at 650,000 VND, includes 12 meticulously crafted pieces of sushi along with a unique "one-more refill" system for your favorite topping. The menu features a balanced blend of fresh local catches, such as Binh Dinh squid and Ca Mau razor clams, alongside premium Japanese imports like Oma tuna and Hokkaido sea urchin. With its serene wooden counter and a wide selection of rare whiskies and Japanese wines, it delivers exceptional value and hospitality for both personal treats and hosting special guests.
Quaint location in the PVC area, tucked away yet accessible. The real star of the show is their sushi master, their sushi "shokunin" . He was fabulous and loved how he just added the perfect amount of wasabi or soy sauce. Fresh, delicious ingredients beautifully prepared with a smile. Drinks list was a bit messy.
This was a very special experience. Just like actually being in Tokyo! The tasty morsels were exquisitely prepared by the Master Chef. Real Japanese beer was also delicious. Will be back soon.
Delicious sushi made by a chef with 30 years of experience! ! The price is reasonable. The taste is good.
