UTAGE Japanese Restaurant & Bar - Izakaya restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

We had fabulous Bento boxes for lunch with icy cold draft Sapporo. The food was superb and great value too, highly recommend it for a visit

Food was really delicious. We had some sushi and skewers with a refreshing lemonade. Service was good, the waitress spoke English but not amazing enough for me to give 5*. The athmosphere is nice as it has a nice cozy vibe and on theme.

The udon is passable the sushi rice is dried and old plus no vinegar taste to it. The fish low graded not good. the 3rd picture by Utagge’s the fish cover the rice both ends and looks high quality. My first 2 pictures the rice packed quite big and the fish is shorter. My sushi doesn’t taste balance like a good sushi should be.

Not terrible but bad Food took forever to arrive. It was also very below average. The ribs tasted very chewy and re grilled. The eel was so small compared to the picture. Also would like to know how the grilled items came out lukewarm. It was really unpleasant sitting in this place. The other customers were smoking while I was eating and it was gross. Servers were nice and that is the only good thing. I cannot recommend this place. Just avoid it.

On my first day in Ho Chi Minh City I randomly stumbled on Izakaya, a Japanese Restaurant. The staff were so warm and helpful. The food was delicious. I really enjoyed my time there and I highly recommend you to stop by if you are looking for fresh and amazing food.
