It was my very first time eating Russian food. Homely decor gives the place a more cosy vibe. Pleasantly surprised by the selection. The salad was a highlight for me although the meat and chicken were equally delicious. The lard should definitely be enjoyed with a piece of bread. Definitely recommend giving the place a try.
The food was decent. However, the bread had to be ordered separately and was not included with the dish, even though the dish was recommended to be eaten with bread. The pickled items were a bit too salty for my taste. The dessert was served hot, and without the strawberry jam, it tasted rather bland.

The potato pancakes and the chicken cutlet with mashed potatoes were absolutely delicious, just like something homemade. But what truly made me happy was the dessert. I tried the Medovik and Napoleon, and honestly — it felt like a little piece of home. It’s been so long since I’ve had desserts that taste this authentic. You can really feel the care and heart in the food here. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Thank you for creating such a warm and special place, and I wish you continued success and growth!
Visited for the first time after the renovation, and I had such a lovely evening. The new interior is charming and full of cute little details, which made the whole place feel warm and enjoyable. I really appreciated that they kindly accepted my request to serve the vodka ice-cold/frozen — thank you for that thoughtful touch. The food was tasty overall, and it was especially fun to enjoy the Russian live performance during dinner. I ordered the lamb shashlik, and unfortunately it was a bit disappointing because the meat was slightly tough and dry. Still, the atmosphere, service, and entertainment made it a very enjoyable night, and I would be happy to visit again.
If you’ve been in Asia for a while and start missing the flavors of home, CCCP Saigon Restaurant is a wonderful place to visit. The food is of very good quality, and the flavors are impressively close to what you’d expect back home, in a way that feels both familiar and comforting. What makes the experience even more interesting is that many of the guests are locals, enjoying what is, for them, an exotic cuisine. It gives the place a unique and lively atmosphere.
