Pleasant place with good Indian food, we ordered Kadai paneer butter naan and jeera rice and all of them were delicious

This place was really good! The staff are really kind and attentive. The food was amazing would definitely recommend.

Had a very nice meal at Gujarat Restaurant 2. We tried the tandoori roti, dal makhani, sev tamatar sabzi and fried rice – everything was tasty and comforting. Special thanks to Ranveer Singh Shekhawat for the warm hospitality and friendly behaviour. The whole team was very welcoming and made us feel at home. If you are in Vietnam and craving Indian food, this place truly feels like India away from India.

This is the second time I'd been to Gujarat and the food was still good, except for the Navratan Korma which was definitely creamy, but nowhere near "flavorful" as the menu claimed it to be. Other than that, I especially enjoyed the Papad Cheese Kebab, alongside the usuals that I normally order i.e. Panu Puri, Panner Butter Masala, and the Naan bread. If there're two things which could be improved, they'd be: - Adding images to the menu, which would help customers know visually what they're getting, and - Staffs' attitude: The waitress who took our order was somewhat aloof and distant, which may be due to the fact that it was still during Lunar New Year so they might had many customers before us already.

I had dinner at Gujarat Indian Restaurant in District 1 (near Pham Ngu Lao) mid December, and while the meal itself was fantastic, the payment situation was a bit of a headache. Here is my first-hand experience: Being a pure vegetarian restaurant, the options here are massive. I tried the Samosa, Chole Puri, Chana Masala, Chai, Garlic Naan and Curry and everything was 10/10. The spices were perfectly balanced—not just "hot," but actually flavorful, reminiscent of a home-cooked meal in India. It’s definitely one of the best spots in Ho Chi Minh City if you're looking for authentic vegetarian or Jain food. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive. They were quick to make recommendations and checked in on the spice levels throughout the meal. Even when things got busy, they remained polite and professional. Here is where things got tricky: when it came time to pay, their card system was down. * There was a small notice placed on the door, but like many people, I didn't see it until I was already done with my meal. * Because they couldn't take my international card, I had to walk in rain to a nearby Western Union to get cash. It was a bit of a hassle in the middle of my evening. * I really wish the staff had mentioned the system being down before I ordered. If you're visiting soon, double-check their card machine status at the door or just bring Vietnamese Dong (VND) to be safe. I would absolutely go back for the food and the hospitality, but I’ll be making sure my wallet is full of cash next time!
