So, the food was ok. For the special wet aged meat, it was not that “special”. But it is fairly decent. We had several kinds of both beef and pork. The meat was tender. Now it is not seasoned, which is great so you can taste the meat. There are also dipping sauce if you want. Th e kimchi pancake was good, very crispy with a balanced amount of kimchi. The atmosphere was chaotic. It was crowded and noisy. I think downstair is better but somehow the staff did not let us use the table downstair saying it was reserved (although when we called to make a reservation they said they don’t take reservation on weekends…something fishy). They also have private rooms. Is it first come first serve or is it a special treatment? No idea. The staff: they are nice and attentive. We got what we asked within minutes. They are polite as well. Having said that, the owner could give them some more info on the signatures of the restaurant. For example, we were genuinely interested in the wet aging technique. We asked. None of the staff knows anything about it. Some of them were not even familiar with the menu (keep mistaking pork for beef and vice versa). They are respectful, patient and kind though. About the 4.9 star review. That was the reason we picked this place. We soon realized that 5 star review = free kimchi pancake. That was the only way to order the pancake (we asked if we could pay and they respectfully said no). So we gave them the 5 star review and we won’t change that. But honestly, they are a 4 star.
