Ikigai Sushi - 4A Cao Thắng - Sushi restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I had the chance to dine at Ikigai Sushi Cao Thắng, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The first thing that stood out was the beautiful and well-designed space. The restaurant follows a clean, minimal Japanese style that feels calm and comfortable. Its location on Cao Thắng street is also very convenient and easy to find, making it a great spot for a quick meal or a casual outing with friends. As for the food, the sushi and Japanese dishes were fresh, well-prepared, and nicely presented. Everything tasted balanced and enjoyable. The dishes were served quickly, which is perfect whether you’re having a light meal or dinner. Another big plus is the friendly and polite staff. They were attentive and made the whole dining experience feel relaxed and welcoming. Overall, Ikigai Sushi Cao Thắng is a place with great food, a nice atmosphere, and good service. Definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for Japanese cuisine in the city center, and I’d happily come back again.

It feels like a cozy, normal restaurant that's great for a casual occasion. The Food: Everything we ordered was amazing. The standout for me was the rolls with salted egg sauce—the flavor was rich and unique. We also tried the pasta with fried shrimp and cheese sauce, which was surprisingly delicious and creamy, and a classic salmon roll that tasted very fresh. Value & Service: • Portions: Decent and filling. • Price: Very reasonable and not too expensive for the quality you get. • Staff: The team here is very nice and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Overall, a solid 5-star experience for a delicious, budget-friendly Japanese meal.

I stumbled on this place on accident, but it’s actually so delicious! This place is literally salmon heaven. I gasped when I saw the pure salmon dishes. I got the salmon belly and the Ikigai set (I think that’s what it’s called). The salmon belly was really fresh and delicious. The ikigai set was also good! Not a super big fan of the cheese on top of the shrimp, but still pretty yum! Unagi and salmon were both solid. For my drink, I got the sakura soda which was refreshing! The place is modernly decorated with Japanese influence! Very clean and pretty!

We loved the sushi here, it was so fresh & delicious. The staff were extremely helpful even though we asked tons of questions (in English!). We ordered many things, but the highlights were the sushi, wagyu, oysters & ramen. Would highly recommend 🫶

I love this little sushi place so much. Food was fresh and delicious. Staff are very friendly. The restaurant is nicely decorated and love the atmosphere. Right in the heart of Saigon. Their salmon noodle dish is especially delicious and beautifully executed for me. I can’t pick my favorite dish since everything was delicious. Well definitely come back the next time to try the rest of the menu.
