Lamie Pizza - Pizza restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Pizza and Vietnam Victory, we were stuck in the middle of the crazy street!! and randomly got here ( again ) for a slice!!

The gal who took my order seemed nice, but she'd already stepped into the kitchen when I suddenly realized I needed to change my order, so I walked just slightly past the open counter, hoping to catch her before she made the wrong slice. Now, mind you, there were no "Staff Only" signs and anywhere else, this would have been a standard "get-your-own-drink-from-the-fridge" area. But she freaks out and rushes me back to my seat in an urgent, fake-friendly way that I found quite off-putting. Still, I tried to keep an open mind and let the food speak for itself. Unfortunately, the pizza didn't quite live up to the hype. The "Detroit-style deep dish" is basically a razor-thin layer of cheese spread out on top of fluffy, good-not-great bread. To make matters worse, the gal messed up my order change (probably because she'd been freaking out so much) and ended up giving me the wrong slice. To her credit, she was nice about transferring the correct toppings onto the mistaken slice. I'd originally planned to order more, but the awkward service and the lackluster pizza kind of killed the mood, so I ended up leaving still feeling a little hungry.

The dough really are the star of the dish as well as how fresh the toppings and the sauce feels really makes a tasty experience

I ordered a medium mixed pizza with 4 flavors 🍕, a seafood spaghetti 🍝, and a Coke 🥤. We were a group of three, and it was a perfect light dinner for us. The taste was really good! The crust was crispy, the dough was soft and fluffy, and the toppings were nicely covered with a layer of cheese. Overall, a very satisfying meal.

I was thinking about this pizza all day as the adverts kept coming to my social media sites. I ordered from them before and I thought it was pretty legit Detroit style pizza....Today was buy 1 get 1....I usually opt for the big chains for these types of deals. One i ordered a little late about 10:15pm but they close at 11pm. Now the taste no butter at all just some oil soy bean taste for the crust. Not like Detroit flavor at all. Fake oil Super cold even it wasn't too far. Especially at this time at night Then a mix up between me and the restaurant about how much I had to pay for delivery. Im just going to say not impressed and there are many other pizza places to order from. Sorry Lamie you let me down as last time it was so delicious. And for the final kick in the nuts was no honey with the 4 Bros 4 cheese pizza....What a let down. If you offer BOGO and cant deliver what you promote maybe dont advertise on social media.....Done with you guys for a long time as I like NY style and Chicago style better. Good luck with your new store. Will try Detroit style pizza on Cong Qyyen in D1 next if I need a Detroit fix. Oliver's on Pham Viet Chan has some deeper style pies as well. Maybe roma style but better than Lamie. Lameness for real. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Until they get their act together.
