This tiny place has the best coffee shop guitar music of anywhere in Saigon, it’s amazing. The musicians never used drum tracks or loop boxes, and they can play anything. Went here several times, the performers played Brian Adams, Oasis, Elton John, Rolling Stones, and other bar standards.

Phuong’s Retro Bar in Saigon was an impromptu and brilliant discovery after a relaxing spa session in the bustling streets of the city. Tucked away with its nostalgic décor and warm ambience, it immediately drew us in with its retro charm and lively yet comfortable atmosphere. The staff were exceptional - professional, friendly and clearly experienced. Their English was excellent, and they were incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived. They highlighted several cocktails to try, including their house specialties, and guided us through an impressive happy‑hour menu with fantastic prices. Their enthusiasm and genuine hospitality added a wonderful personal touch to the experience. Three cocktails later - an Espresso Martini, a Long Island Iced Tea, and their playful house speciality, Drunken Childhood - we were more than happy to settle in and enjoy the vibe. Each drink was crafted beautifully, balanced in flavour and presented with care. The bar’s retro atmosphere, paired with great conversation from one of the friendly staff members, made the experience even more memorable. And of course, the music deserves a mention. The playlist perfectly matched the bar’s aesthetic, adding energy and nostalgia without overpowering the space. Phuong’s Retro Bar delivered excellent cocktails, a welcoming environment and a fun, relaxed vibe - an ideal stop for your Saigon bar‑hopping adventures. Highly recommended.

Every time I’m back, i always come here and try out their drink. Highly recommend Tipsy Childhood. It’s simply fantastic and amazing.

Funky little bar with delicious food and great coffee! My son said it was the best eggs benny he's had in Ho Chi Min. I ordered a coconut coffee and coconut shrimp. The coffee was beautiful and the shrimp was cooked to perfection - juicy, great but of crunch, yummy dipping sauce! Staff were very welcoming too.

Amazing place. Easy location. Cocktails are fantastic but our highlight aside from the amazing staff was the egg coffee. Taste to be believed. Thankyou - highly recommended
