The Wagon Wheel - American Comfort Cuisine - American restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

My new go-to spot from now on. Easily the best American comfort food in Saigon. The portion is huge with much more reasonable price compared to the over priced Eddies in Thao Dien. That juicy chicken beats any fried chicken in the city.

This place is incredible! We loved it so much that we came back the next day to try different dishes, and everything was absolutely delicious. All the staff have been incredibly friendly and welcoming to us!! I ordered the flat iron steak, and as an Argentine who knows her way around good meat, I can honestly say it was incredible! Great quality, fresh ingredients, and on top of that, it’s very affordable. You really can’t ask for more!

Wagon Wheel BBQ is the kind of place that makes you loosen your belt halfway through the meal and start making promises about going back to the gym tomorrow. As an American, the smell alone brought me right back home. The smoky BBQ, juicy meats, and generous portions are the real deal. Every bite tasted like a backyard cookout somewhere in the United States. Most importantly, this place has earned the highest honor I can bestow: Fat Boy Certified™. Not "Instagram influencer certified." Not "food blogger certified." Fat Boy Certified. The kind of certification awarded only after serious scientific testing involving meat sweats, questionable life choices, and the inability to stand up quickly after eating. If you leave Wagon Wheel hungry, that's a personal problem. 10/10 would sacrifice my diet again.

Saw the chicken fried steak and gad to go try this place. Atmosphere wise I was sweating sitting inside there very uncomfortable. Appetizer ordered the Bacon Ball tasted no bacon at all just fried mashed potatoe. The chicken fried steak was tough and chewy not tenderized but the breading was nice. The Texas cheese steak was good but too much sauce on it drowned out the cheese flavor.

This restaurant specializes in Western cuisine, especially burgers and steaks, which are definitely the highlights of the menu. The fried chicken dishes are also surprisingly delicious and well-seasoned. The atmosphere feels very American and cozy, giving off a warm, family-style vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away. The prices are reasonable and match the quality of the food perfectly. The staff are friendly, and always ready to help, which makes the overall dining experience even better. This place is highly recommended, and I will definitely come back again in the future.
