Tamarind Hidden Cocktail Bar (Me Bar) - Cocktail bar in Ho Chi Minh City

A very chill and cozy speakeasy with really kind staff members! Harley and Trung helped me throughout my few hours in Tamarind and they suggested such great drinks. The drinks were rooted in storytelling, history and sophistication. A shout out to the band and to the bartenders - a very great night with such great company. Will come back! 😊

> A hidden bar that was recommended by a friend, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The staff greeted us warmly, spoke excellent English, and provided outstanding service from the moment we arrived. The drink menu offers a great selection, including signature, modern, and classic cocktails. We chose to sit at the bar, where the bartender walked us through the ingredients and stories behind each drink. It made the whole experience much more interactive and enjoyable. To top it all off, they surprised us with a complimentary jasmine-infused vodka shot for everyone to try. It was such a fun and memorable touch. Highly recommended if you're looking for a great cocktail experience in Ho Chi Minh City!

Definitely a hidden gem that looks out onto the beautiful tamarind trees and french architecture of the People's Court. The staff were super approachable and friendly and the drinks were on point!

If I could recommend any speciality cocktail bar/speakeasy in Saigon, it would definitely be Tamarind. To start, the service from the bartenders and server were amazing. My friends and I (group of 7) each tried one of their drinks to try and the server explained what each drink was and how to best enjoy them. The atmosphere was great too, low light and intimate with live music on the night we went. The drinks - absolutely amazing, well crafted and so much thought and work put into each one of them. My absolute favorite and most unique drink I’ve ever tried was the Hu Tieu which is a spin-off on the Vietnamese noodle dish. Great umami and flavor that made each sip insanely addictive. Huge shout out to “P” who is one of the masterminds of the cocktails. Highly recommend visiting at least once if you’re ever in Saigon!

Me is a great hidden bar that blocks out all the noises in your head, allows you to enjoy your company while serves you crazy good and unique cocktails! My friend and I both enjoyed our evening at Me a lot, our server was really attentive, funny and charming. He also explained how to enjoy our drinks properly while serving - leaving no questions unanswered. Their đồ nhậu (snacks for drinking), especially the beef jerky was excellent and complimented our drinks very well (we had 4 cocktails in total). In terms of atmosphere, Me is so warm and cozy, without being “old”. We got to enjoy live music here as well, from anything to classic pops 80s to 2000s+, while enjoying the busy streets of Saigon. One detail I personally loved was the tamarind trees outside the window (also the name of the bar; planted by the municipality), makes it feel like everything in the bar was intentional and culturally curated, from the naming to every items they serve! We will definitely visit times and times again!
