Xào Xạc cafe & plants - Coffee shop in Ho Chi Minh City

A small corner in a hamlet of Nguyen Dinh Chieu street, not far from the road but silent enough to keep your mind still. It's a retro-style coffee shop. I ordered a ice latte, taste so good.

Two words: Absolutely wonderful. The cafe interior is moody and cozy, accented by plants, terrariums, and aquariums. Its perfect. The food was great too, at only 65k per meal. They had a lovely selection of ceramics, and I took home two pots. 10/10 would come back.

10/10 — like stepping into a hidden little forest 🌿 I honestly can’t believe a café this rare and well-hidden exists in Saigon 🫣. There are truly no words to fully describe the care, dedication, and love the owner has poured into Xào Xạc Café. You can feel it the moment you step inside. The café has three floors: • Ground floor: A ceramic shop combined with the drink ordering counter. • Second floor: The main café space, divided into several sections, each with its own unique decor. There’s an indoor fish pond that feels incredibly calming, and a spacious balcony filled with small potted plants — super chill. • Third floor: A café space blended with the café’s mini garden. This was my absolute favorite. There are so many plants — from small to large — even lotus flowers and pomegranate trees. I loved it so, so much. The only downside is that around noon and early afternoon, the sun can be quite intense. A good tip is to sit on the second floor during that time, then head back up to the third floor later in the afternoon. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. They regularly check on guests and refill water, no matter where you’re seated. I visited in the morning and afternoon, and the café was very quiet. Most people were studying, with the occasional foreign visitor stopping by briefly. It’s perfect for studying alone or having a calm study date ☺️☺️☺️.

An absolutely gorgeous, creative space. Coffee is good and they also have a ceramics shop as you enter. Very, very beautiful pieces. Worth passing by, having a look, spending some time on the roottop garden. Bonus points for using bamboo straws and for converting rice or soil bags into shopping bags when you buy something from the store. Coming from Thailand, I really appreciated this environmentally friendly approach. Ah, and you can also buy the plants they have exposed.

The decor is a beautiful blend of rustic and natural elements, with potted plants cascading from shelves and hanging from the ceiling. It's a perfect spot for those who appreciate a quiet, cozy atmosphere. I found a small table tucked away in a corner, offering a great view of the cafe's unique layout and the bar where the friendly staff were preparing drinks. I ordered a signature chocolate drink, and it was a delightful experience. It was rich, creamy, and beautifully presented with a dusting of cocoa and a hint of spice, accompanied by cinnamon sticks. The quality of the coffee and the attention to detail in every aspect of the service truly stand out. What makes Xào Xạc special is the peaceful ambiance. It's the kind of place where you can lose track of time, whether you're catching up with a friend, reading a book, or simply enjoying a moment of solitude. The combination of great coffee, a serene environment, and the friendly staff makes this coffee shop a hidden gem. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an escape from the ordinary.
