6Seven Restaurant - Steak house in Ho Chi Minh City

Casually dining. Good vibe, good food, affordable price. We had korean bbq chicken rice, beef salad, beef and seafood pizza, panna cotta and creme brulee, all were tasty. The pizza base was standard (kinda like Domino’s so would be good for anyone who doesn’t like hard sourdough base). Chicken was moist and well seasoned. Staff was attentive and super friendly. Definitely will come back

It’s a cute and relaxing place. Food is ok, staff are friendly. Price is very reasonable.

Update 29.04.2025. We had dinner here again. Slightly better experience, then last time. We have ordered 3 meals for the 2 of us because of the size of the portions ( only for western food. For Vietnamese food, the portions are generous. ) 4, if I count my French fries. So 2 steaks, a steak salad, French fries, pineapple juice and a coconut just under 19 quid. Good value for money. This time, they have managed to bring out my wife’s and my steaks at the same time. Also they have cooked my steak as I have requested. Although it didn't make much difference, because I had to wait for my French fries. It took so long, when it came out, I have asked the waitress to take my steak back to the kitchen and put it on the grill for a bit. For sure it didn't happen, because the steak was COLD. Although my wife hasn't finished hers just then, so we have managed to eat for couple of minutes together. Even if my steak was cold. The positives: The same thing why we have chosen this restaurant for start. A wide range of western and Vietnamese food. Good value for money. Someone in the reviews complained about the peppercorn sauce being tasteless. I have to disagree with that. The peppercorn sauce is very peppery. There is nothing wrong with it. The space has potential, but they don't seem to be able to get their act right. It's not a good place. For me the basic minimum to consider a place good, is to be able to bring the foods out at the same time or within a minute. Everything else comes after that. Very few places in Saigon seem to understand the concept not ruining the dining experience with making one part of a couple eating alone or waiting for the other food and having the first food going cold. They have failed at this for start. My food came out definitely 5 minutes after my wife's. Probably closer to 10, then 5. Now the positives. They have a wide selection of Vietnamese and western food, so both my wife and me can find something to eat in the same restaurant. She wants to give them another chance, so we will come back. The food. My wife’s Vietnamese food was delicious and nice portion. On the other hand my burger was a challenge for them. I have asked during the order to make it very well done. It still came out all the way pink. I had to send it back to the kitchen to fry it longer. 2nd time came out slightly better and it became OKish. The bun wasn't anything special, a bit of toasting would have made some difference. The pattie was well seasoned though. Very small burger with a bit of lettuce and 2 slices of tomato. The chips was surprisingly better, than in most places. Although only few of them. Probably half a dozen. So definitely recommend to order another portion of chips.

Update: we xe back after a while and even though they have not change the gravy holder Hence same small portion, the staff paid attention and proactively provide additional portion of gravy to address the problem. Appreciated! Good value but a few things that lead to a lesser experience: - the aircon is not sufficient. I guess they skim on the infrastructure cost and hence have a low horse power aircon which cannot accommodate the space - the sauce/gravy: the gravy is nice but the gravy holder is tiny. 3 times here and every single time I have to ask for additional gravy. Please ref use the standard gravy holder which normally can hold 1.5x - 2x the level of gravy you are offering.

Highly recommend this hidden gem located opposite the Canadian International School within the residential houses. Though slightly difficult to find among the houses and trees, the effort is worth it for the delicious beef dishes. Steaks are decent quality. Great breakfast dishes are available all day. Prices are very reasonable. Warm and inviting interior dining area and outdoon seating. Friendly staff. Have returned several times.
