Laang SaiGon Central - Vietnamese restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Some of the best Vietnamese dishes we’ve had in HCMC. The pomelo and shrimp salad was superb. The fruit was so fresh and the shrimp was grilled to perfection. We had this dish at many different restaurants throughout the area and this one is hands down the best.

I came here for a quick lunch as I was staying nearby. The menu looked inviting and they serve a variety of vietnamese dishes here in a cozy and chic environment! Food is tasty and service was polite and friendly. Definitely a bit on the pricier side, but this can be expected for a place like this, not exactly fine dining but fancier than your average banh mi joint!

The food is beautifully presented, making for a great Instagram post. However, the flavour and technique fall short. The prices are also quite high. We paid $1.3million VND for 3 people for lunch. Finally, the restaurant should replace the cracked and broken bowls. These are unsafe and could cause serious injury.

The food is appealing. Service standards lousy. Put us at a small corner table when the restaurant is practically empty. And then they moved us to bigger table after all the food is served. Would they not be able to tell during the order?

We arrived at nearly 2pm. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nice decor, lovely place, quiet. Food is phenomenal. All dishes are delicious and fit our appetite including kid menu. Price is reasonable with this great quality and service. Definitely recommended.
