On the last night of our trip, we came to this restaurant for steamed seafood. The ingredients were fresh and juicy, and the dining environment was elegant and comfortable. We had a lovely dinner with friends and highly recommend it.

Nhà hàng Chang Kang Kung Võ Văn Tần - Seafood restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City
리뷰
Chang Kong Kung is one of my most frequented food chains in Vietnam, and it’s a favourite for my mom and me. We go to this chain at least twice every trip. This is our first time visiting the Võ Văn Tần location (usually we just go to a location inside a mall). This place is quite spacious, modern and luxurious; I believe it’s the largest and most luxurious branch of Chang Kang Kung. You take the elevator to go up, and outside there’s a good view with banana leaves. All dishes here are cooked by steaming, so it eliminates fats/oils and keeps in nutrients. All the dishes were steamed with a set time, and the servers do this for you. Seems like they’ve changed up the cover now to make it more transparent so the food can be more visible! At the bottom of the steaming plate, some rice is added to make congee. By the end of the meal, the sweetness/flavour from the steamed dishes would “add” to the congee below the steamer. Every meal ends with congee, which you can add salted egg + other ingredients to. Best dishes imo are the crunchy fish and pork jowl. Taste is good, prices are decent, and service is great.
As always, the food was freshly steamed right before your eyes—great quality and presentation. Be prepared for a busy lunch crowd, though, as it's clearly a popular spot!
This is the top steamed hotpot chain in town. The higher price is exchanged for the bigger menu, slightly bigger portions, and well prepared ingredients.
Interesting concept but this place is only good for small group of 6 max. Also, not really kid friendly since most dishes are not geared toward kids. We brought our kids here and ended up ordering grab food for them to eat with us here. The dishes are pretty small portion, and take at least 6 to 8 minutes to cook in between and only 1 dish can be steamed at a time, this eating here can take upward from 2 to 3 hrs easily. And honestly, the dishes are kinda bland as I'm not used to steam dishes so it's biased on my taste. I came to try but would most likely not be coming back.
