I came here to try the sushi and overall I think the experience was still pretty okay 😌 The restaurant is decorated nicely, the atmosphere feels cozy, and the staff were gentle, polite, and very supportive throughout the meal. The menu is also quite standard and diverse like many sushi restaurants, with pricing in the medium range so it feels reasonable overall. Most of the dishes tasted good and the seasoning was balanced. I especially think the overall food quality was decent for the price point. We tried several sushi and sashimi dishes, and overall everything was enjoyable enough for a casual sushi dinner with friends. One small thing for me personally was that the seafood smell inside the restaurant felt a little strong at times. Since it’s a sushi restaurant, I totally understand that there will naturally be some fish and seafood smell, but I’m personally a bit sensitive to that, so I noticed it more while dining. As for the food, the salmon sashimi was okay but didn’t feel as fresh as I personally expected. I also ordered a fried salmon sushi roll, and that one was a bit too large and slightly firm to bite into comfortably 😅 Other than those small points, everything else was still quite pleasant overall. The staff were lovely, the space was nicely arranged, and the dining experience was generally enjoyable. I’d still rate this place 4/5 stars and think it’s worth trying if you’re nearby and craving sushi 😌

Fresh Fish, Thick Cuts, and Zero Regret for the Wallet! This place is an absolute steal for anyone craving quality Japanese food without burning a hole in their pocket. The seafood is exceptionally fresh, featuring thick, generous cuts and a clean presentation that lets the natural sweetness of the fish truly shine. For the price, the quality far exceeds expectations - making it the perfect choice for a high-quality meal that stays gentle on the bank account. A standout destination for sushi lovers who prioritize fresh ingredients and fair pricing. Definitely worth visiting again and again!
i can honestly say this is the best japanese restaurant in hcmc. i found this place accidentally, not too far from where i’m staying, and they were still open at 11pm (they say they’re open until 2am). the food is marvelous, everything is super fresh, and it arrives very quickly. the chef and staff are also really friendly. if you’re not too far from the city and are looking for great sushi, sashimi, or japanese cuisine, i’d definitely recommend this place.💖
Was looking for food in the area and chanced upon this jap restaurant. It was around 5pm and i was prob their first customer. Ordered the chirashi don (119k) and a side of ebi tempura (59k). Food took quite awhile to be served. Ebi tempura batter is abit weird and hard. Prob diff type of flour is used. Chirashi don was full of cheap ingredients.. crab sticks and tamago covered most of the rice below. I gave 4 stars cause tho not the tastiest but i thought the price was really reasonable. Total dmg Vnd 180k.
Five stars is not enough. This is world-class sushi hiding in plain sight. My wife and I have been regulars for years, first at their original location and now at the new one, and I need people to understand what this place actually is. We have made multiple trips to Japan specifically to eat. Tokyo, Osaka, the famous spots people fly across the world for. I am telling you with complete sincerity that this restaurant is on the same level as the best sushi we have eaten anywhere in Japan. And the unagi? The unagi is the best we have had in the world. That includes Hamamatsu, the unagi capital of Japan itself. I know how that sounds. Go try it and then come back and tell me I'm wrong. The fish is impossibly fresh, the cuts are thick and generous in a way you simply do not get at places charging three times as much, and the owner treats every plate like it's going to be judged by a Michelin inspector. The care is visible in everything, from the knife work to the way they remember returning customers. Bonus for night owls: they are open late, well past when most of the city's kitchens have gone dark. Some of our best meals here have been at hours when nowhere else this good is even an option. Split your expectations in half for the price and double them for the quality. In years of coming here we have never once had a disappointing meal. If you are anywhere in Saigon and you love sushi, you owe it to yourself to visit. Places like this deserve to be packed every single night.
