A steakhouse is always a safe choice for me when I want Western food but don’t really know what to eat. However, at places like this, what I usually look forward to isn’t the steak itself, but the starters, snacks, and side dishes. As a Michelin Guide restaurant, the cooking techniques are clearly at a certain standard. While nothing truly wowed or surprised me, there was also nothing disappointing — every dish was well executed. The bone marrow and tartare were beautifully presented on their own stands, with great aroma, freshness, and flavor. I’m not usually a fan of duck, but the duck breast that day was very enjoyable, especially when paired with the vegetable purée. The highlight for me was the dessert — the crème brûlée was smooth, silky, and not overly sweet. Overall, it’s a place I would come back to.

위층의 DRAM Bar는 저녁을 또 다른 방식으로 이어줍니다. 칵테일, 당구대, 소파, 시가, 그리고 메뉴를 훤히 꿰고 있는 바 스태프가 기다리고 있습니다. 사이공의 비슷한 레스토랑 중에서 이런 '2막'을 제공하는 곳은 드물며, 다이닝 테이블에서 바 스툴로의 전환은 매끄럽습니다. 점심에 방문하는 손님들에게는 미드데이 스페셜이 인기입니다. 세트 메뉴를 먹으러 왔다가 두 시간이 훌쩍 지나도록 자리를 지키게 되는데, 그릴드 브레드 하나조차 특별하게 만들어내는 주방의 솜씨 덕분입니다.

Where to begin… Amazing food, atmosphere and the staff go above and beyond with their explanations, friendliness and hospitality. Very knowledgeable waiters and bar staff. The steak! In particular the T-bone we shared was perfectly cooked. We really enjoyed the sauces and side dishes. After our meal we lounged in the Dram bar upstairs where we had bar staff explain the cocktail list and were served the most divine drinks. There is a pool table, sofas and a smoking area as they sell cigars. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion, ours being our wedding anniversary. A great place to get together with friends, they do a lunch time roast and also have jazz sessions. Thank you for making our evening so special
For our anniversary, we had a fantastic meal at Stoker. We had the signature ‘Porterhouse Steak’ to share. It was definitely one of the best steaks we have tasted. Cooked medium rare and as close to perfection as you can get. We started with scallops and BBQ Octopus, which themselves were very, very good, and then the show stopper main. The staff were awesome, in particular Lu, who was great with us through the whole evening, as well as the sommelier that recommended the perfect wine. If your looking for a great steak - look no further, it is here!
Simply Amazing. The food was excellent, steak was incredibly tender and juicy. Staff was freaking cute & friendly, and very supportive, and the menu offered great variety. A special highlight was the roasted bone marrow — absolutely outstanding! After that, I was introduced to DRAM Bar, enjoyed some cocktails, had another serving of the roasted bone marrow, super delicious tiramisu made by Stoker kitchen. Truly a wonderful evening from start to finish.
Just wanted to tip my cap to Stoker and thank Chef Max for a great evening at his "The Heart of the Feast"- a decadent and delightful tribute to traditional British food- hearty yet elevated- as anything one would expect a collaborative six chaptered feast (paired perfectly with HOD's ales, stouts and beers) from Stoker might be under his guidance. His team worked like clockwork, plating and service was impeccable! His interpretation of British classics like Scotch Eggs, Black Pudding, Fish and Chips, unpretentious and refined- a homage to what British classics and cooking should be- delicious and filling. Asides from the execution and maybe more importantly- Max is a natural host- he's able to deliver jokes, charm and entertain his guests between courses just as well as guide his team to deliver up plates of incredible food. This is a mark of excellence and I look forward to his Thanksgiving.
