IBUKI Teppanyaki Restaurant - Japanese restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

We came to Ibuki on our 6th anniversary. We literally had the place to ourselves. It was the perfect dinner. Two chefs meticulously prepared our meals. We had the Australian Sirloin set. Started with some appetizers, sashimi, assorted vegetables, foie gras, then steak, egg custard, fried rice and another set of sushi and matcha gelato for dessert. They were kind enough to make us an anniversary fruit, chocolate and mochi set. The service was impeccable. Staff were very friendly and the location was great. 1st floor of New World Hotel Saigon. Highly recommended place for intimate dinners.

Real Japanese Delights you never had before. Best Sashimi we had Snapper and Salmon started with a wonderful fresh seaweed salad. After that fried Seafood Rice made if the best by the Chef in front of your eyes. Then tempura shrimp you will not forget so good and crispy and finally homemade sesame Ice cream. Even the complimentary Miso soup is an event in taste ... Best Japanese Restaurant so far I know in Vietnam

Cannot complain at all about the quality of this restaurant, from the foods to the service, to the wine. We booked on Facebook, and when we got to the restaurant, the bellman knew right away who we were. Throughout the booking messages that we exchanged before hand, I made quite a few changes. But he knew exactly where we left off, and picked up the recommendations right away. All the recommendations were excellent. The staff (including the chef) knew also we went for birthday celebration (for my partner, not me). I didn’t introduce our names at all, and even the chef knew whose bday it was, and called out the bday girl as well. That was awesome and impressive. For the food, we were recommended the Teppanyaki sets (excellent all the ways). The sets has 7 different items, we were mixing and matching different stuff in the set as well so we both could try different things. And at the end, we got the surprise birthday song, with awesome complementary desserts to conclude the night. The Sommelier wine recommendation was also excellent and went very well with the foods. I would recommend this to anyone who want good foods and excellent services. Came back 2nd time, not disappointed!

I have came few times to this restaurant, one with business partners and other times with family. Very unique in Saigon, this teppanyaki style convinced most every guest by premium quality of the food. Thinking about Japanese fine dining, this Ibuki restaurant must be top of choice.

Had a lunch here recently and it was a bit of a mixed experience. While the staff were nice and attentive, the cooking fell short of expectations. Our chef seemed quite junior and lacked the necessary finesse with the grill spatula, making the performance feel a bit clunky. Decent ingredients and service, but the technical execution needs more practice to match the premium setting.
