Phú Gia Hotel 8 - Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City
Reviews
We needed a budget hotel next to the SCCC, so it was great for us. The neighborhood is lively, there is a grocery market nearby, you can buy fruits, meat, seafood. There are many cafes of different levels nearby, you can find them to suit your taste. Two fitness rooms. There is a jewelry store with money exchange. There are small grocery and hardware stores, laundries, pharmacies. The room was normal, the bed linen and towels were clean, the air conditioner, fan and refrigerator were working. The TV wasn't working, and I'm shooting a star for it. Although maybe we didn't figure out how to turn it on) The staff was responsive, the Wi-Fi was working. The windows faced the road, and it was a little noisy to sleep. But since we were tired during the day, the sound of the road did not bother us too much.
I wouldn’t stay here again personally. We booked a delux room. On arrival they had “ran out” even though online you could still book it. We got moved to a room which lights flickered and was incredibly loud. We didn’t sleep. So I asked to move and they were acting like I asked them to kill a first born child for a different room 😂. I asked very nicely because I’ve worked in hotels and understand the stressful situation. When we eventually got moved the room was quieter with no flickering lights, so was just accepted it but it was not the room we originally booked! The cleaner however 10/10 human being and deserves the world. Writing this review to warn others and I hope they change there tune. But you shouldn’t be able to book a room that’s not available. Bear in mind we didn’t even get a refund for the more expensive room but I couldn’t be bothered to fight that.
I arrived at the place and the gave me the wrong room. After I realized there was no bathtub nor balcony I asked to change the room. After discussion they showed me the other room, which didn’t seem to be ready yet, since there were still bags on the floor. Also I think its mostly for hourly clients.
Was told that something in the room I booked was spoilt and given another room in another hotel under the same management.
