Good food, service and atmosphere

Visited Aburi-En at Crescent Mall recently and had a rather average dining experience. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the staff were polite, attentive, and efficient throughout our visit. I ordered the Buta Don (Large Size), while my friend ordered the Salmon Steak Mentaiko Don (Medium Size). The taste and quality of the food were acceptable, but nothing particularly memorable. Our main disappointment was the portion size. The Buta Don that was labeled as large looked more like a medium-sized serving, while the Salmon Steak Mentaiko Don ordered as a medium portion appeared closer to a small serving in our opinion. Considering the menu descriptions, the portions felt underwhelming. In fact, both of us were still hungry after finishing our meals and ended up going to another restaurant for a second meal. I believe the restaurant should either increase the portion sizes or provide more accurate sizing descriptions so customers know what to expect. The food arrived promptly and service was smooth throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the combination of average food quality and disappointing portion sizes left us unsatisfied. While the experience was not terrible, it did not provide enough value for the price paid. Based on this visit, we are unlikely to return and would probably explore other dining options in the future.
