CHOWA HOME Thao Dien by DNM Hospitality - Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

My #1 place to stay in Thao Dien; this is my 5th or 6th visit at a guess. Total silence at night staying here! Very new rooms, exactly as per the online photos. Location is tucked away on a quiet laneway and only 5-10mins walk to many great cafes, restaurants, salons, gyms etc. Wonderful staff. During this visit I left a t-shirt behind at a venue in D1, they kindly contacted them for me and arranged for it to be brought to the accommodation via Grab. Also, the checkin time of 2pm and checkout time of 12pm is generous. Many other places seem to have 3pm checkin and/or 11am checkout. Great value accommodation, typically 850K-1mil per night. I'll continue to be a regular guest here.

We’ve been staying at this hotel for three weeks, and during all this time we honestly haven’t found a single flaw. It’s very rare to come across a place that gets absolutely everything right! 🩷 From the very first day, we were impressed. The room is spacious, the view is absolutely stunning, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Housekeeping does an amazing job - it’s spotless. A special thank you to the staff. Every single person we met was genuinely kind, warm, attentive, and always ready to help. They made us feel truly welcome and cared for throughout our entire stay. The location is another huge highlight. The neighborhood is simply perfect, with fantastic cafés, delicious restaurants, and large shopping malls all within walking distance. At the same time, the hotel is tucked away on a quiet dead-end street, making it incredibly peaceful despite being so close to everything. The Wi-Fi is also fast and reliable, which was especially important for us during our long stay. There is a very comfortable big bed here. We absolutely fell in love with this hotel. It feels so comfortable and welcoming that it truly became our home away from home. Thank you to the entire team for your outstanding hospitality, exceptional service, and attention to every little detail. We will definitely stay here again and will happily recommend this hotel to all of our friends and family! 🤩❤️

I stayed here for one month to try living in Thao Dien. The building is located really close (walkable distance) to good restaurants and cafes in the area, down a small side street, along with really nice houses and a popular cafe. I had a street-facing 1 bedroom apartment on the 1st floor, but it's not a true 1BR as the divider between the bedroom and the living room is a set of glass sliding doors, not a wall. This by itself would not be an issue for me, however, there is only one AC unit for the apartment, and the glass doors don't allow the cool air to easily enter the bedroom, so I had to leave the glass doors open at all times. Even with the doors open, the bedroom would always be way warmer than the living room. They really should install a 2nd AC unit in the bedroom portion, especially for this rental price. The location of the building is nice and cute, until it rains or you want to leave/stay out late. It becomes inconvenient when it rains because the nearby main street is prone to flooding, and during heavy rain, Grab drivers will refuse to come to you (for both rides and food deliveries). Also, if you are one that likes to go out late and night, there is a gate at the beginning of the street that is manned by a not-so-friendly security guard. sometime after midnight, they lock the gate, closing access to entire street, so it becomes a pain if you want to go out late, or come back late from a night out. Chowa Home staff gave me a key for the padlock on the gate, but only after I woke up the security guard coming back late on the third night and learned about the whole locking gate thing. When the gate is locked, your Grab can't drop you off at the building. All of this made me not want to go out a lot of times, because I didn't want to deal with the hassle. And is one of the main reasons I will not be returning. Also, bring a set of earplugs if you are sensitive to noise at night. This area has a lot of frogs that come out after it rains, and there was another noise that I could not figure out the source of.

I absolutely loved the time at Chowa ApartHotel. It perfectly combines the luxury of a boutique hotel with the comfort and convenience of a fully furnished apartment.The interior of the one bedroom apartment is modern, clean, and beautifully styled with a calming, minimalist aesthetic.. The kitchen was fully equipped, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable.Situated in a great neighborhood, making it easy to walk to local cafes and restaurants. The staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with local recommendations.

Rooms are clean, tidy and very comfortable with Japanese style minimalist design . Make you feel relaxed inside the room so give u a good rest after a day of travel plan ! The room has all facilities including micro wave oven, pans and utensils and washing machine . Very practical design! Reception staff is Very friendly and helpful ! The Chowa is in the beautiful lane off the main road , right next to all beautiful villas and mansion . There is a new and very popular coffee shop right next to Chowa with good coffee . I will go back again next time i go to Saigon
