I had two very different experiences at Cobeya, which is why I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. First of all, I highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as the restaurant is usually quite busy. During my first visit, everything was excellent. The sashimi was fresh, the food arrived quickly, and every dish we ordered was served without long waits. The quality of the fish was impressive, the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It was one of the better Japanese buffet experiences I've had, so I was excited to come back. Unfortunately, my second visit was quite disappointing. The restaurant has a 2.5-hour ordering limit for the buffet, but no one informed us about this in advance. Although we were already quite full by then, I still felt this should have been communicated clearly at the beginning instead of finding out later. The service was also noticeably slower this time. Many dishes took a long time to arrive, and some were even missing, requiring us to remind the staff multiple times. Compared to my first visit, the food quality was less impressive as well. Both the sashimi and the cooked dishes, including the salads and rolls, felt much more ordinary. For reference, **Photos 1–3 are from my second visit, while Photos 4–5 are from my first visit.** I think they reflect the difference in presentation and overall experience quite well. It's unfortunate because my first experience set such a high expectation. Based on my second visit, the overall consistency wasn't there, and I don't think I'll be returning.

We enjoyed our 559k buffet. The restaurant is lovely, 3 storeys and nicely decorated. The staff are very pleasant and the service is fast. Highly recommended.

We tried the basic buffet option 299++ to enjoy salmon salad and order additional a la carte sashimi. However, after selecting a few sushi rolls in this combo, we realized it was too much; the rolls were very large, making it difficult to try many different sushi flavors. Still, the food and the price were very reasonable

Cobe Japanese Restaurant delivers consistently good sushi in a clean, well-maintained setting. The quality of the fish is excellent—fresh, flavorful, and skillfully prepared. While the prices are on the higher side, the food and experience are well worth it. Service is very attentive, with staff checking in regularly to make sure everything is to your liking. While they do offer a buffet option, I personally prefer ordering the single items à la carte—the quality and presentation really shine that way. If you’re looking for a satisfying sushi experience with great service in a calm, comfortable space, Cobe is a solid choice.

Great new sushi restaurant in PXL! I initially didn’t intend to go here but since most places in PXL were full when I went, I decided to dine here. They’re new compared to most PXL Japanese restaurants, but I think it’s really good quality that I would prefer over others. I also went here twice so that explains. Food. The dish prices here are very affordable but not in mid-quality. I had a couple of sashimi orders, rolls, gunkans, tempura, and soba noodle. The sashimi here is pretty fresh, they have a nice variety of fish that they offer just like Hokkaido Sachi but way fresher and cheaper than Hokkaido Sachi. The sushi was awesome - presentation was nice with great flavors - I don’t remember what I got but they were all pretty nice. When I came in the second time, they had a special offer where they give you 6-7 free grilled oysters if your bill go over 650k vnd - that was pretty nice too. Service. I think service was fine, not super outstanding that caught my attention, but it was good. I do remember that the security guy here was nicer than in most places lol - he was inviting us into the restaurant and said that it’s new and really modernized. He should get a raise or something because most security men in other restaurants are very rude. Atmosphere. As the security guy said, this restaurant has a really modernized look. It’s nicer than most places unlike Hokkaido Sachi; i’m still salty about this place because of prices and dish qualities - read my review on it for the PXL location. Overall nice sushi restaurants with a nice variety of selections and affordable prices.
