Ebisu Udon - Udon noodle restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

A breathtaking experience, I am now coming every weeks or 2 weeks since I am here in Saigon (3months so I know what I am talking about !) And the food is A M A Z I N G ! I really recommand the classic udons for people that aren't used to udons or first timers, and if you really like the broth flavor go for a cold udon, the tastiness can only be enhanced ! Also they have a set menu from 11h30 to 18h00 and it is very worth it, it helps people try a real full meal course from Japan ! Also the Karaage fits the Japanese version perfectly ( trust me on that I have been to Japan more than once !). To finish with the food, the sushis are really good quality, the fish taste amazing ( I recommend the uni, salmon and tuna) and something always good is that there is more fish than rice!!!! The staff is also very understanding and professional 👏 This place deserves more hype to be honest its an hidden gem !

offers many japanese dishes which are both flavorful and well-presented. my group really enjoyed their food! I ordered the creamy fish roe udon with egg, which had a milky yet salty taste. the rice with chicken and egg was also good. staff was a bit forgetful but friendly. we arrived at around 21:00 and quickly got our food and drinks. atmosphere was quiet.

Visited Ebisu Udon at 2A Chu Manh Trinh recently and had a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant has a cozy Japanese atmosphere and is located in the heart of the Japanese district, making it a convenient spot for Japanese comfort food. The ingredients tasted fresh and the presentation was neat. Portions were reasonable, and the food quality was generally satisfactory. Service was efficient, and the staff were polite and attentive throughout the meal. While the food may not be the most memorable Japanese meal I have had in Ho Chi Minh City, it is a reliable option for a casual lunch or dinner. Prices are fair considering the location and overall dining experience. Overall, a solid Japanese restaurant in District 1 that is worth visiting if you are looking for a comfortable setting, friendly service, and decent Japanese cuisine.

Update June 3: I revisited this restaurant for the 4th time in 2 weeks and am happy to report a recent improvement within the staff on paying more attention to customers who may be waiting for staff to take the initial food order. I hope this improvement continues into the future as the food served here is delicious and fresh. I came to this restaurant due to its long standing reputation and because they offer japanese style "Natto" as well as an extensive menu. All of the sashimi and nigiri I have ordered has been fresh and well prepared. Although Natto is an acquired taste and not for everyone, it is fresh and delicious here. The service is just OK...friendly but it takes forever to place your order and to make eye contact long enough to get their attention. Once you place your order, the delivery of food arrives reasonably quick. Old style Izakaya, nothing fancy but clean and comfortable.

Amazing sushi! The restaurant serves authentic Japanese cuisine, and you can even watch the chefs prepare the sushi, which adds to the experience. The staff is very friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome right away. The atmosphere is beautifully Japanese-inspired and creates a great overall dining vibe. I enjoyed it so much that I came back a second time—once for dinner and again for lunch. Definitely a place I would visit again!
