Ẩm thực Trung Hoa miền Bắc vốn hiếm thấy ở Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, nơi các nhà hàng kiểu Quảng Đông và fusion chiếm phần lớn. Mandulia, một nhà hàng nhỏ do gia đình tự vận hành trên Trúc Đường ở An Khánh, lấp vào khoảng trống đó bằng thực đơn tập trung, nghiêng hẳn về hương vị phương Bắc Trung Quốc — đậm đà, mặn mà, và gắn liền với các món từ bột. Sủi cảo hấp nhân thịt heo và hẹ là món chủ lực, thu hút thực khách quay lại nhiều lần và nhận được lời khen nhất quán từ cộng đồng khách quen — phần lớn là người nước ngoài và dân địa phương sành ăn, những người biết rõ sự khác biệt. Mapo tofu được phục vụ với độ cay đích thực, kung pao chicken luôn giữ được độ mềm nhất quán, còn cơm chiên trứng là thứ nghe đơn giản nhưng làm đúng khó hơn nhiều người nghĩ. Đĩa salad củ cải và dưa leo muối chua là điểm hoàn tất bữa ăn tốt.
Không gian nhỏ gọn, trang trí đơn giản với cảm quan hiện đại — gần với một quán cà phê ở Bắc Kinh hơn là khu phố người Hoa. Gia đình chủ quán trực tiếp có mặt và chu đáo, sự nhiệt tình ở đây là thật chứ không phải lịch sự hình thức. Sức chứa có giới hạn — nhóm sáu người vẫn có thể được xếp chỗ nhưng nhà hàng lấp đầy rất nhanh vào buổi trưa. Nhà hàng mở hai ca mỗi ngày, ngoại trừ thứ Năm là ngày bếp nghỉ. Các món phổ biến đôi khi hết trước khi ca kết thúc, vì vậy đến sớm ở bất kỳ ca nào đều là lựa chọn an toàn hơn. My fourth time at Mandulia and it never disappoints. The food is amazing and reasonably priced. Owners and staff are friendly and efficient. If I had to choose one restaurant to eat at for the rest of my life this could easily be the one. Highly recommended.

A friend who happens to be a chef brought us in for dumplings, and on the last day of a three week trip, this was the highlight meal by far. The dumplings were soooo good, as was the rest of the dishes. The eggs stewed with tomato sauce were recommended by the owners super cool young son and he nailed it. So tasty! This little cozy spot is run by a kind and welcoming family who made the meal even more special. We had a party of six and we were easily accommodated, but just know that Mandulia is also a perfect date spot for couples. We already can’t wait to go back!
It's a small and cute restaurant with modern design. We tried egg fried rice, mapo tofu, and kung pao chicken. All were delectable, flavourful, and good portion for sharing. Deffo going back to try other items on the menu
The food is ok, it’s northern Chinese food with a bit of Korean fusion. The mapo tofu is a bit too sweet for me, and the dumplings were either too salty or too bland, not well balanced. Despite all that I would probably come back again if I’m craving dumplings because it’s quite hard to find this style in this city. The atmosphere and service are good, no complaints there. Well decorated and feels a bit like eating in China.
